  1. I know that, that's the point I want to make, the models need at least another 24 hours watching to see which route we take. Knee jerk reactions just don't help less experienced members like me. I'm not getting at people just saying keep the emotions intact.
  2. This is the perfect example of why you should wait before jumping to conclusions!! A very COLD shower for some this morning!!!!
  3. Panic posts are causing panic reposts and this place is in meltdown! Wait until at least tomorrows evening output for any firming up of new trends and analyse them with a level head! What will be will be, we can't change the weather. I believe we will go down the ukmo route personally.
  4. AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! The negativity based on individual runs is doing my nut!! Ohh it's going to do this now cos 12z or 6z said so!!! Come on people think about it realistically at the moment fi starts at about +72/96!! This is a big pattern change and it will take a while longer yet to get details and specifics!! Ohh and talking about a breakdown before the cold and change is here!! Lord have mercy on some of you!!!! Rant over !!
  5. I think we're on to a good thing here!! Weeks of cold weather IMO, I wouldn't be surprised if if lasted till New Years! Just get that feeling that the set up of blocking we are seeing would last and dare I say it, make 09/10 look like a dusting!!!!!
  6. Jimmny crickets, I can't believe the down and out feeling about the output!! Everything is still on place for a very cold period to develop, don't take every run as of that's concrete what will happen!! The models still don't know what will happen in the next 3 days so be patient and we will get rewarded.
  7. That is my main focus at the moment, the pv is looking good to be in pieces for the foreseeable future and this can only be a good thing. The constant movement of the lobes should mean we end up with some very interesting weather indeed. Loving the work G.P
  8. Go and start building them ramps in your gardens now, you will need them with all the snow that's going to come our way in the next month!! Feet of the stuff I tell ya!! Going to stock the cupboard up with beans and sausages now, just bought 100 tins from asda!!
  9. Couldn't agree more John, it is getting silly on here at the moment!! The weather is the weather and it will go which ever way it chooses to! Healthy speculation is good as induces debate, caravaning at each other will not achieve anything do keep an open mind and let's get strapped in for a tollercoaster of a winter ride.
  10. Remember the film field of dreams???! Quote "build it and they will come" That's what winter is about, get the building blocks in place then the cold will follow. Take a deep breath and calm down, way too early to be panicking!!
  11. The law of averages surely means that one day in the not so distant future one of them charts will come off???? We can hope.
  12. That's the kind of post I like Steve!! Nice work.
  13. Anyone know how long we've got left of potential snow for west Yorkshire in particular?
  14. Lindley Huddersfield, snowing now small flakes and winds picking up. About 5 mm so far.
  15. Me too, a couple of flakes now, looks like a grey blanket coming our way soon!
  16. It's the gradient of them there hills to our west elevating the clouds then skipping over the valleys at the eastern edge. Eg Huddersfield. Radar looks ok tho, give it an hour or I'm off on a last minute holiday to Lincoln.
  17. I know, I'm sat here waiting for the main event in Huddersfield. Nothing much yet but still confident of a couple of inch!
  18. if you believe what u read on the model output discussion then there headding to the south east with every other bit of weather around the country!! hahaha!!
