  1. Mad? TBH, It is actually quite fun. A bit of Fresh air is good for you. Good job it not raining up there. Don't complain the weather. The weather do what is want it to do. Same for myself. i've would've not go there if its bad right now it be mad if it is.
  2. Just got back from Rivington Pike. When I was on top it was very windy, about 50mph up there. I was nearly pushed away up there. it is getting very lively outside now here.
  3. I watched the BBC weather and looks to me it is going to be a very wet and squally evening, maybe we could see some thunder with it. Atleast it be a interesting evening and tomorrow weatherwise.
  4. Good Evening folks. Finally the rain from last night had stopped here. I'm pretty sure 25-40 mm have being fallen here. The ground here is very saturated and any future rain will cause floods or standing water. Good job I live on top of a valley. Looking pretty good if you looking for a white christmas. Lets hope it verifies, its been 3 years since we last had it in 2010.
  5. The models have downgraded the Thursday's storm this morning. How many times we had downgrades? alot. At this rate this Winter is going to be a Winter Of Downgrades. bruah!! Which is going to be a WINTER. Lets hope it won't happen. But still a possibility sadly.
  6. Looks like the models just downgraded the storm for Thursday. Game over. = How sad. At this rate this Winter is gonna turn out into a Winter Of Downgrades. I knew it.
  7. Maybe hes got whacked by Vyvyan's baseball bat and decide to be my avatar.
  8. The models are still showing severe winds restricted to Scotland and Ireland. Still no change from yesterday. Looks like another boring weekend weatherwise.
  9. The BBC weather saying the strongest winds will effect Northern Ireland and Scotland another downgrade again. No surprises there. How many downgrades here can we take? I was looking forward to that storm.
  10. That is a relief for those who got flooded by sea-water last week.
  11. Can I ask you a question? Is it possible to get a storm surge again from this Saturday's windstorm? The moon is out right now.
  12. Looks like that storm will be nasty for next week. That is what I call a deep low. Nice. Potential cold snap/spell perhaps?
  13. Whats next? record breaking mild temperatures for Christmas? If that is a case, it be a very low chance of that, just like 100 days of heavy snow has failed.
  14. Yesterday it was going to be a quiet Christmas with some frost. Today it shows the storm on its way on Christmas Day. Look like the weather is wanting a change by the festive period.
  15. TBH I don't think the next thursday storm if its verifies won't be as bad as last week, but still enough to uproot few trees though. We had 100 mph last time. I could be wrong.
  16. It reminds me of ''Freezer Bowl''. According to the wiki The game was played in the coldest temperature in NFL history in terms of wind chill. It was in 10th January 1982.
  17. This is Blackpool North pier after the storm: http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/blackpool-s-north-pier-badly-damaged-by-storm-1-6300790 Floor boards being ripped up.
  18. The clouds are breaking up here so it will be a pleasant afternoon today. Atleast it is better than stuck beneath the grey skies. So quiet on here. Only one post yesterday. The GFS 06z is showing High Pressure building over us at the Xmas period atm. Its going to be a frosty/grey (foggy) Xmas, If that verifies. I probably start posting Xmas charts each day, unless it is the same/similiar scenario to this. In the last run it was this: Quite a downgrade from 00Z.
  19. Unfortunately according to this run it is going to be far from very cold with no cold winds on Christmas Eve. It will probably be a frosty one though with at freezing uppers with HP building over us. I'm guessing by Christmas day it will be a frosty/grey (foggy) Xmas.
  20. Oh dear. Looks to me another storm may be brewing in the Atlantic. 150 hrs out. Maybe we need a storm to bring cold weather. North-Westerlies closing by....
  21. Like my new pic? Its one of the villains of James Bond. the rain had cleared off now and its cloudy and murky here. Its milder here too. There goes our winter.
  22. Euro High tries to extend to greenland at 336 hours in FI on GFS. But the low pressure wins back Greenland at 360 hrs. End of the run shows Bartlett high moving east crossing Germany, bringing in a south-easterly flow. We could see some night frosts and some fog in there, especially in central, southern areas. Still not good enough for us coldies though.
