I expect some snow tommorow but it will turning back to freezing rain so guess what? More Icicles!! so tommorow night I expecting layers of ice everywhere. going to be an Icestorm tommorow.

the north east usually have temperatures above freezing because of the cloud acting as a blanket prevents the temperatures drop away. But the winds coming of the north sea helps the temperatures to lodge down.

Im making myself some icicles tonight as an xmas decoration since it so cold. its free too so you all have to do is to pour some water on the window ledge.

I did encountered a similar thing when I was on holiday in Filey with my brother. When we going south from Whitby to Filey it was pouring it down with rain and thunder but 2 miles later it were sunny. I think its the hills just helps the clouds to form.

clear skies here so I expecting ice, frost and a bit of wintry weather this evening.

dammit the met office forecast for a high pressure coming in from the west this weekend. That means the winds will drop light plus behind the high is a huge low pressure at the north atlantic with winds from the south. I really hope that the high pressure will stick to us for atleast for a week so the low pressure will probably go south-east towards southern europe. So we will get very cold easterly winds.

Been raining here all night that is not a good news for people living besides the rivers. I think around 20mm has already fallen here and counting. Theres also been an odd burst of hail in there last night too.

Im right yesterday I was expecting some freezing rain tonight and guess what? it is proved right. Winds are coming in directly from the warm sea so the temperatures should creep up gradually overnight. Brief spell of snow before turns to rain? Its not really a big deal.

Its raining in Wales with temperatures ranging from 1 - 6C according to google maps. Here in Leyland the frost is already forming. It is zero degrees currently here. It is barmy in the western coast of Ireland though with 9-11C also according to google maps. Im going on a Cruise to Scandinavia in two weeks time, so I don't really care whether it is snowing or not really. Its going to be snowing over there anyway. So lucky for me!! Right now in Gothenburg it is -7C below freezing right now. That is where im heading in two weeks time. In fact Gothenburg is colder than Moscow right now.

anywhere east of blackburn or north of Kendal probably going to get snow but anywhere south and west from them will probably have freezing rain or sleet.

I doubt it will snow tommorow night because the Irish Sea is too warm for it. The sea is acting as a huge pool of milder air over it. Plus the winds are coming in directly from the milder sea if the frontal system approaches. Honestly I would probably expect some freezing rain for the hour or two, if lucky bit of sleet for half an hour. The puddles probably turn to ice overnight. That is mine expectation. Im looking forward to the freezing rain that sticks to the ground and everything frozen over which is quite cool. Temperatures on Monday probably reach to 4 - 5C at best with some showers, wintry over high ground. So the cold air mass may return by then.
