Theres a good fish n chip shop in Whitby, near the bridge I think. I don't know its closed or not because last time I went there about 10 years ago as a kid.

getting quite stormy and black clouds gathering here and odds of snow is certainly 25-1 this time rather than 120-1 yesterday. KEEP IT UP!! I might even glad by morning.

scenes across the north east is like this now.

here in the north-west region would only get 10-20mm of rain but nothing too significant out of this weather system. that is very bad for the drought effected areas. In fact there not gonna rain here until sunday apart from today. friday is drizzle but that doesnt count as anything at all.

SCREW THE SNOW!! :D If it is it be another 2003 style hot summer. Wildfires by Mid-April. And scorching hot wall-to-wall sunshine most of August.

Its unlikely the snow will last all day in the north east, it will give about 2-5cm at the lowlands and 5-10cm on higher places. It will only 2-3 hrs of snow. Then they all be melted by the time at sunset. its still possible because snow is harder to forecast than rain.Theres 80% chance not gonna snow at the west side of pennines. I felt it in my gut.

I doubt the snow will stick in newcastle because the ground is too warm for it by recent warm weather. It be likely be wet snow or freezing rain. The sun is strong enough to melt the lying snow even during cloudy periods. I wont call this a snow event.

Finally the weather forecasters started to say warm rather than mild now. But why is high pressures always brought cloudy weather rather than sunny skies? I hate cloudy highs!!

Any chance of the skies stay clear tonight? I must see northern lights tonight! because the news said the strong solar storm is on its way to earth. So far the skies now looks good for northern lights! I hope it stays clear all night tonight to see them.
