  1. the flood waters might turn to ice soon especially end of this week. no doubt we going to have a snow crisis in couple of weeks time. maybe a foot of snow in some places like the the winter of 2010-11. The gulf stream is indeed slowing down, that is what caused the bad weather in the first place.
  2. This mild weather is going to be boring I wish the weather make a huge change next week with colder temperatures and hopefully snow and frost. This mild weather gone on for long enough.
  3. I think is true because bbc doesnt seem to care about the storm in the eastern seaboard they usually get 10 - 15 minutes coverage of it, then its other ''boring'' news. This is not on because this storm is too serious.
  4. this storm is quite close to be a hypercane, because the storm system is actually is so massive. If the storm headed towards us we be screwed and quite possibly bring down our ecomony to 2008 levels.
  5. 66 million americans gonna affected by this storm. that is about 2/3 of the people who live in the US and the fierce winds around the center covers about the roughly the size of texas. that is bad.
  6. this storm is amazing, the storm system is so extensive that the storm's tail actually reached greenland, 2000 miles from the storm's eye. - 12 ft waves 1000 miles in radius. - hurricane's tail reached greenland
  7. looks like this storm going to be a lot worser than Irene.
  8. I really hope Sandy, as an extra-tropical storm will go across the atlantic and slam britain with winds upto 80-90mph and 100mph over high ground. It also may bring much colder weather behind it. It may happen next week. I maybe wrong though. It prob arrive over here around next tuesday or wednesday. not this week, next week. It is a one to watch and it is quite a threat to us too. behind it will be north to northwesterly winds and it may bring snow to north-west england.
  9. I really hope Sandy will go across the atlantic and slam britain with winds upto 80-90mph and 100mph over high ground. It also may bring much colder weather behind it. It may happen next week. I maybe wrong though. Sandy is quite a threat to us. This is why I kept a close eye on it. It would affect us around about next tuesday or wednesday.
  10. Rain? When I went away on holiday to Filey wiv my brother and family, when we driving back from whitby to filey the thunderstorm just litterally chased us all the way to Filey, and the rain is so heavy that it flooded the road within a few moments. Imagine that is gonna happen but with snow.
  11. places like Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood bay, Redcar and Newcastle will prob gonna get pounded by wintry weather overnight tonight. I wonder where Backtrack is?
  12. I think it be 30%-40% possiblity of that may happen, but other 60% wont. Depends how windy it is.
  13. I cant believe this hot spell is coming to the end. F&^k the Cool and Wet weather! Bring On the heat!!
  14. I went to Keswick in Cumbria yesterday and I enjoyed walking along the lake's shore and riding on a boat taking pictures. It was a lovely day in Cumbria with a cold wind.
  15. If this weather pattern like this 3 months ago we would get a decent amount of snow with about 20-30cm with blizzards over the hills. It be like winter of 2009-2010 all over again.
  16. I see some dark clouds here and looks like gonna pour down with rain and perhaps even thunder if the clouds were high enough. btw the clouds started towering now and may turn into a thunderstorm while crosses the pennines maybe even here if winds were light enough. News Alert: Indonesia just had an earthquake, measured 8.9 magnitude. Thats quite a strong quake. I hope our PM david cameron okay over there. Weather Update: Just rained here heavily with some hail, so far no sign of lightining/thunder. thank god. I expect that shower may turn into a thunderstorm as it passes the Pennines.
  17. I wonder why this weather system cant produce any tornadoes? Its quite perfect conditions for it. Its got squally winds, heavy rain/snow or maybe a clap of thunder in there. Its quite active enough to produce one or two twisters. Plus the jet stream helps it to keep active.
  18. https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/15735-quarry-pendle-hill-covered-in-snow/ Just took pictures from quarry But idk how to make pictures bigger. https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/15730-quarry-winter-hill/ even the west pennine moors doesnt have snow except winter hill.
