I'm in Axminster just had a very heavy down pour from that lot highlighted above but no thunder

Torrential rain in Axminster now after drizzle for most of the morning.

Had some rumbles here in Axminster about half hour ago followed by some large spots of rain but just cloudy now and according to the car it is 18c, warm for 9.25am but it doesnt feel muggy any more, is it going to be hot here....?

Charlton Adam Snow It was +1 when we landed in Helsinki in Jan but we had temps of -30 right up North in Lapland, so you just need to go North from Helsinki, loads of lovely snow :-)

Had a lovely show of lightning here about an hour ago, really bright fork lightning, totally unexpected :-)

Woken up by a huge bang at around 6.20am and has been lightning and thunder ever since. Cant believe how dark it is, nearly 7am and as dark as night.

Wouldnt say its fresher in this part of the SW, suns out and its a lot warmer and stickier than yesterday this time, too warm for me :-/

It looks so dark and threatening here but after a few flashes and rumbles Lyme bay seems to have killed the storm And 2 seconds after posting huge bang and its now torrential rain

Someone else did ask this question somewhere and Im truly not being negative but can some one who knows about these things explain why, when everything looks like its being blown in the same direction as the current storm in Kent, it will suddenly change direction later on?

I was looking at raintoday at 4pm and I havent a clue and even I could tell the storms were going to go up the channel towards Kent....unless Iv missed something? Edited to add...ok maybe I have missed the point as there are more storms building so I answered my own question :-)

Looks like we got another storm, really bright lightening and thunder louder this time, sounds like hail mixed with the rain too.

If what Axminster had is anything to go by I wouldnt get that excited :-/

Had some rain and some lovely lightening with rumbles,nothing much going on now except a bit of light rain.

Well it went pretty quickly just raining now, lightening seems to have gone.
