Huge flash of lightening that lit everything up but clear sky above and no thunder heard.

My son just left Exeter and said they had a great storm there, with lots of lightening. I keep thinking I hear distant rumbles but could be just that im listening for it and its just the wind.

Still sunny here but just 3 large rumbles of thunder

Extremely heavy rain, knocked sky box out, cant believe theres not been a clap of thunder.

Been raining for about an hour and has just started to get steadily heavier, cant believe how warm it is, steamy!

Someone else heard the thunder near tiverton so at least one rumble in devon then :-)

Apparantly thunder heard about 5 mins ago, husband playing cricket and heard it.

Just had a small rain shower here in Axminster

Local radio weather saying heavy rain and thunderstorms from tomorrow, mind you im not convinced they get the weather right very often!

And Axminster, i said it didnt feel stormy at all yesterday evening and yet i was wrong lightening and thunder, rumbles and bigger bangs from 1.30am until just after 3.20am. Thats a storm 2 nights running now :-)

I was wrong was woken by thunder, lots of lightening and rumbles going on, just started raining too

Isle of white lightening not showing anything coming from it though.

Ok so this is me being brave.....iv no idea what the temperature is here, unless i go out and start the car up, 3pm it was 28.5 in Axminster, around 7pm it got quite chilly and feels very fresh out there, now im well aware that no one can say which area, if any, will get a storm, but as i said in a previous post it feels very un-humid out there, is that just here where i am? Are other areas in the SW still feeling humid? I have to say if we get a storm here i will be very very amazed and fully expect to wake in the morning and say "hmm well that didnt happen then" . Im also very aware that we dont have crystal balls, im just going on intuition, iv spent 40 odd years honeing it :-)

Last night felt thundery and we did get a storm, tonight feels cool compared to the temps we have had, watery sun with low misty cloud, just doesnt feel it to me :-(

Just had the brightest flash i have ever seen followed by an almighty explosion.

Just watched a lovely storm here, in the distance out to sea but lots of really bright lightening with cloud to ground lightening and deep booms of thunder. If we get nothing else here my summer is complete :-)

Been watching the same storm as everyone else, nice to see some lightening :-)

Whats up with net weather temp forecast? Has Axminster as average temp of 17 to 18c, I wish because I hate this heat but I dont think they'v got it right, unless they are meaning 1am not 1pm.

Not wrong here in Axminster!! Been heavy showers with intermitent dullness, no sun at all.

gone very dark in Axminster, every now and then there are huge spots of rain and bits of hail coming down.

That's amazing snow in mid may! Could there be thunder associated with that Hook, it looks like it might make it to Axminster

Westcountry weather just said whats supposed to arrive friday now looks like its heading for france and theres only a chance it may clip the SW. I dont mind if whats going to france is rain but if thats our snow going over there again......
