Light snow here and yet 9.3c (starting to drop) - by far and away the highest temperature I've ever seen it snow at, didnt think it was possible!

Can confirm the frozen stuff here as well. Cant snow at Christmas but can in April, always amazes me! To see such a turnaround in temperature in a few days is pretty impressive too!

It's a moans thread for weather not for moaning about other people and their interests or did I get that wrong? I'm not looking forward to yet another dry and cold boring spell, even more so in April, I'd prefer it warm now, including for plants and the like but year in year out the "what's wrong with people" gets thrown around. If someone wants to be passionate about potential or actual weather that's their look out and they should be free to do so and not be guilt tripped. If this thread is also supposed to be for moaning about other people (don't we have enough of that everywhere else these days?)then I have the wrong end of the stick.

So what if they are enjoying it? I love a bit of cold in winter but am done with it now and would prefer warmth but since when are people to be censored on what weather they like and why would there be anything wrong with them? It's a weather forum for flip sake we should be able to like what we like.

Love the seasons but looking forward to seeing the back of a very disappointing cold spell imby, very little snow, just unrelenting cold and dry, very boring for me. The evenings are noticeably lighter now and it's that time my attention turns to warmth and convective weather, can't wait now.

Minus 10c forecast for last night... actual was minus 4.6, miles off. Anyone hit double figures in the South East?!

No sooner do I type that then we get our biggest downpour of snow all spell and the world has turned white.... must remember to criticise cold spells earlier in the process!! Still poor overall though so far (imby) sadly.

Imby the last few days have got to be up there in the biggest winter weather let down in years (and there have been many). So much potential (as ever) but ultimately aside from a minor covering which is all gone and about 4 flurries it's been dry and just bloody cold. Glad some have had a good result but this can do one now, bring forth some warmth.

Woken up to a covering of snow and still snowing, didnt have much hope for that- decent!

Small flakes falking from a clear sky showing just how windy it is out there. No snow shovels required just yet though.

Not much left to come through per the radar but a Brucey bonus to start the cold spell. Good signs for our region!

Well, well, well its snowing in St Neots again!!

That's the best forecast yet - literally just starting to turn sleety! I think we're outside of the real fun and games zone here the next few days but keeping everything crossed.

Temp been dropping steadily last few hours from a high of 9c to 4c now but still just plain rain here and been lots and lots of it again today.

I sometimes have to sneak off for a quick netweather log on at times like to avoid seeming like a weatherholic!

Funny little coincidence we both end up in a similar part of Cambridgeshire! 38 years in Essex so seen it all good and bad weather wise there (and non weather!), 1987 was what really got me passionate about the weather, we had just about everything that year, I thought that was just standard weather as an 8 year old! 91 was epic.. thought we were about to celebrate 30 years anniversary in style... but still I guess anything could happen now at this range. Hoping for some more snowy bin pics from you.

Ah I miss the Essex streamers, getting a bit jealous now but definitely overdue some decent snow there - enjoy! Looks like we're supposed to be on the periphery now here but then that worked out well very recently last time I saw that! Here's hoping we all get a slice of the snowy cake this time.
