  1. Temperature only got down to 25oC in my room last night and back up to 26.9oC! got down to 14.4oC early hours and back up to 24.1oC now Beautiful blue sky & sun with some nice and ugly contrails from the planes...
  2. They are the the top reason for me not liking heat! but I would take the flies anyday if it means this weather continues!
  3. Apology of course accepted and well it's not unusual to have temperatures of 29oC in my room during a hot summer day, the temperature is ALWAYS atleast 2oC above the outside temperatures as long as the sun is shining! And hey! I wont knock it till I've tried it! I will do it tomorrow night and see how it goes Thankyou!
  4. Yeah, suppose you have to way up the pro's and cons and having a good crop is a big pro for you I assume!
  5. oh hey... You seem very blunt? why? and well it is now 18.9oC outside and Accuweather backs me up here! http://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/st-albans/al1-3/weather-forecast/328488 and well, that's what you live in a south facing house in a corner room where the sun shines directly on the 2 walls from sunrise till around 3/4pm! Oh and I had my windows in my room shut in the morning and open in the evening which I suppose doesn't help and it is now down to 26.7oC in my room now that I have moved my fan from the windowsil to next to my bed... and I am hiding under the duvet to get away from the flies... OH AND it only got to 28.4oC here too! My room is just always incredibly hot and I genuinly have no idea why and we have had all doors and windows open in the rest of the house all day..... Oh and 19oC in buntingford too! http://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/buntingford/sg9-9/weather-forecast/328470
  6. Well... I am certainly not sleeping tonight! It's still 29oC in my room with the windows wide open! and then all these insects started coming in dispite me having a fly netting up (Some of it has come away in the corners a little) so then I decided to go and get our UV bug zapper thing but all that did was attract more flies from outside and we also have a bees nest living in our wall and one must have seen the light and broken into the room to then get zapped and have a bee spazm on my window sill... I have no turned the thing off because I actually really like bee's and it was clearly not working.. THEN 1 of the atleast 6 Daddy Long Legs flew down from the ceiling and managed to get stuck between my glasses lense and my eye ball.. It was a HORRIFIC experience and one I would never like to re-live! Currently hiding under my duvet, sweating buckets and attempting to slowly drift off... meeeeeh!
  7. Well I am almost certain that I didn't have any rain here on the first 2 days but I don't have any readings from that because some of the data on my laptop got lost but hoping that I don't get any rain here all month, would be a new little experience but we will all have to have our fingers crossed for no hose pipe bans next summer due to a dry summer this year and perhaps a dry winter again?
  8. Could this July be the 1st July with no rain somewhere in the UK? I assume there has never been one place in the UK where they've gone the whole of July without a drop of rain? I certainly havent recorded or seen ANY rain here in St.Albans this month and I don't see us getting any rain anytime soon either unless we catch a storm which is very unlikely because they always seem to be either way to the north of us or just to the south and miss us? Any one have any figures on the least amount of rain recorded in July by any one station or as a region as a whole?
  9. Would like this weather to continue for a bit longer too but would much more prefer it to be in the low to maybe mid 20's by day and around 10oC if not lower at night, prefect! But then the interest me wants to see 39oC reached and day appon day of record breaking heat! Not being funny though but if I had known that this July was going to be so hot I would have seriously considered buying a small air-conditioner for my room, if I had air con in my room right now then I would be the happiest person I'm almost positive! Can deal with the hot days just not the hot nights... Temperature update: 23.6oC and hit a high of 28.4oC today
  10. Oh god, seemed to have rocked the weather forum world with a picture of a leg! ahah But to be more on topic, temp just reached 28.4oC at 5 past 4 and it really was shooting up but now blasted high cloud has drifted over the sun and it's gone down to 27.7oC! Irritating! We would have got ATLEAST 29oC today without this airplane cloud that is literally moving so slow that I can't see it moving :/ Hopefully it will shrink or blow away before half 4 and allow half hour for the heat to shoot back up!
  11. VERY dark as you can see! Not red like it looks in the picture though! Mum always calls me a sunbug hahaTemperature update: 27.9oC
  12. I mean, I am a REAL sunbug and I caught ever single ray that I possibly could last year where it was so wet and sunless and was still dissapointed by the end of the year, this is the 1st year that I've really thought.. Wow... I am WAY too dark and the last couple of days I've actually stayed out of the sun! Unheard of for me!
  13. I would certainly like to have a patch of the garden that was 16oC that I could just sit in and relax but I'm really beginning to get used to this hot weather thing, I've had to wack out the factor 50 though due to literally being TOO DARK! I'm almost black! Darker than many asians and greeks that's for sure!
  14. 25.5oC here atm from my more expensive weather station and 26.5oC from my cheaper one, despite them being right next to eachother, beautiful out there, only thing spoiling the deep blue is the stupid contrails or chemtrails from the damn airplanes, that really does annoy me and I have seen satalite images from Nasa where these chem/contrails have grown and spread out until the whole of the UK was covered in a milky haze! Blooming marvelous when the all the planes were grounded due to the icelandic ash cloud, the skies were a deep, crystal clear blue the whole time! Coincidence? maybe? but anyway, rant over! It is now 25.7oC and other 26.7oC love days just over 26oC, don't count it as a "very warm day" until it's hit 26oC
  15. Well, certainly going to be a cooler day today! Still very warm but this time yesterday it was atleast 27oC and yet today we are at 23.6oC but rising steadily so we could still get 27oC if not higher by 5ish, and just watched the countryfile forecast and he showed high pressure building even more so by the end of the week with the jet stream well to the north of scotland so anyone in scotland who is experiencing a bit of cloud and cooler temperatures will have a change once again by the end of the week! Temp now up to 23.8oC haha
  16. Another gorgeous day ahead here, been almost 2 weeks of nice weather and I can't even remember what rain looks like let alone when we last had rain here! 20.2oC at the minute with a probable high of 27oC maybe 28oC. The end of next week and into the following week is looking interesting, the BBC are giving forecast ranges between 16oC to 36oC! not this Tuesday coming but next, this is of course a long way off but nice to see that the current July record could potentially be under risk of falling within the next week or so! I WILL be complaining about how hot it is though and probably be having 3 or 4 showers a day haha
  17. Would love to see the mid to high 30's just for the experience in the UK because I don't remember it from 2003 or 2006 but I think I would HAVE TO go out and buy an air conditioner, don't even care how much it is! hahah I only have a small room and so would on only need a small one, last night my room didn't get below 26oC.... That's just WAY to hot for sleeping under a relatively thick duvet! haha Temperature update: 28.9oC
  18. I've only just gone and hit 30.0oC, my theory is that it is the way the sun came round and was just a touch closer to the sensor than it had been during the day although it was of course still in the shade, I also have another sensor exactly next to it which is black that hit 30.6oC but atleast I can say I officialy hit 30oC this year, didn't last year! :/
  19. Sorry, I'm weather freak but I signed in on my old account that I opened when I didn't really know how to use this forum ahah, but yes, I live in St.Albans, Hertfordshire
  20. This is WeatherFreak:D from my earlier post but I couldnt get on to this account earlier so I made a new one! Got SO tantalisingly close to 30oC today but sadly only got to 29.5oC at 03.43pm, there is still a possibility of it rising just above that because it's still reading 29.1oC but looks very unlikely to reach 30oC :'( Hoping that that wont be the last of the extremely hot days, and I'm sure I heard someone saying about how next weekend could be, yet ANOTHER scorcher! perhaps I will hit 30oC then? Hate it when it gets this close (SO close yet SO far!) yet even just down the road in Watford it is reading 30oC yet St.Albans only 29oC on Accuweather, humidity is also high at 50% though so it really doesn't feel to pleasant..
  21. The met office actually gave out a warning on thier website last week! I'm STILL peeling more than a week after I got burnt! That was the worst I have EVER been burnt thouvh :/
  22. The sun was VERY strong yest! It had seen the UV forecast on UVAware and it was 6.9 for here yest which is EXTREME at any time of year here but I FOOLISHLY layed out in it from 9am till 4pm (Which would normally had been okay for me by now but with no base tan I am burnt like a crisp! I am SO angry at myself! I HAtE burning more than anything but it's happened now, time seemed to just run away with me but I have actually emailed the Met Office on how thier UV forecasts are frequently wrong and they replied but refused to admit that it was way below par a lot of the time... Will be posting pictures of the burn and may copy and paste the emails if I can find them
  23. Looks like we COULD, finally be looking at tthe first signs of spring at the end of this week/beginning of next week... Possible above 20oC for the 1st time this year!
  24. This was the other day, was out there between 12-2pm
