Tree in are garden is producing new shoot shouldn't do that till spring and daffodils everywhere are sprouting and flowering too. really shows the lack of proper cold, I just want a dry warm spring, sick of the rain

Had a flash of lightning, thunder and hail about 2 hours ago nice surprise but very short
-
I really do hope we don't have another cold spring march last year was horrible,
Some charts showing another deep low pressure again isobars look tight so more strong winds again maybe, not good
-
Well in an unprecedented turn of events, the GFS op has the most robust high to the north east at day 5.
I suddenly feel dirty
that's the ECM

Rain that's cold

it'll probably fizzle outNext lot in the Channel storming towards us..
-
Looks like my area will miss out on all the fun. I expect by the time it reaches me it will probably just be drizzle or nothing at all
-
all we got was one lousy rumble on thunder and some strong gust and a bit of rain, really hoping for an proper thunderstorm
-

I hoping my area catches one of those squalls

Some of the driest ensembles we've had over a 2 week period in a long long time UK wide about time as well
A change to drier conditions looks likely during next week and something cooler could be on the cards from around mid month
I hope it's mild dry..
we do need dry weather though been very wet

A brief round up:
The swell charts:
the swell area on the map doesn't look bad for the coastal Sussex/Hampshire and places in the channel at all
but it does for Cornwall area.
-
I must be only one that don't mind the 18z least it keep the proper cold away. though much prefer settled n mild. but anyways the amount of rainfall in places is serious.

Any idea of the winds we would get in the south this time?
-
Certainly sounds winder here, but our local weather station has had the wind speed and gusts at pretty much the same since 9PM.
Still the Max Gust here at 66 Mph from earlier this evening.
been following that station too, would have thought it would be getting even windier now, maybe soon

ok thanks, so I guess the strongest winds for the south are not here yet

I always thought high pressure from the south would mean mild night too seeing as it coming from south which is much warmer. Interesting
