  1. Really hoping for some good stuff this weekend as if this does flop then at least we got something.
  2. Welcome A SSW it a complete reverse of Stratospheric winds which involves some kind of warming. A SSW usually displaces the vortex and causes extensive Heights across the NH. Which in favour a colder block setting up over the UK these usually cause disruption for several weeks.
  3. This around the time I suspect the SSW to have the BIGGEST impact. As the ENTIRE vortice drops out of Canada and heights ejected into the pole this is truly something beautiful... Weather it happens is or not is a different matter.
  4. Doesn't need a comment look at the cold pool. Best thing about SE england Easterly never fails to deliver the goods!
  5. Now drop that Shortwave SE be a good little shortwave and you will be loved by most people here!
  6. Errr the SSW has immediate effects split vortex or displacement that kind of stuff. Later more blocking is involved this time varys as every SSW is different.
  7. Upgrades in short term caused the block too last longer but toppled and turned into a horror show and went against 500mb heigh anomaly charts.
  8. What with the Heights in Scandinavia on the GEM? Looks like Surface heights?
  9. Ignore the rest obviously having a hard time the GFS and goes against many background signals. Default GFS
  10. Might sink but just goes too show that how inconsistent the models are being.
  11. I would like to say the CMA has been hinting this for a while starting like this model.
  12. I give it in the 12 Hour mark as early December the forecast was rain within 6 hours it was changed too snow. 3" off that.
