  1. The most likely sort of rain in that system would be freezing rain. That would cause chaos.
  2. I’m hopeing there will be enough snow on the ground to stop me haveing to travel the short journey to uckfield for work lol.
  3. @Steve Murr would that gfs h210 chart cause freezing rain. Surprised that might not be one of the risks from this cold spell
  4. Lol how confusing do you want to be same location different forecast lol
  5. Lol mod meltdown soon. ecm is even slower but I’m not Worried at the moment. as the models at moving this high too quickly once it’s in position it will be slow moveing not quick
  6. Good to know looks like there will be some fun winter walks on the Ashdown forest then.
  7. If you look really closely there is 1 pixel of blue just out of where the southeast corner would be. ??
  8. Will the convection of the sea reach my location in Sussex. Cannot remember weather the showers off the last easterly reached here.
  9. That low actually went east across the country from 219-240 major snow event for the south
  10. That low actually went east across the country from 219-240 major snow event for the south
  11. @nick sussex are we now green on your traffic light system?? It’s been missing since the beginning of the year lol.
  12. Hmm icon doesn’t look as good as its previous run. More energy over the top off the high. Might still work out just see where this goes.
  13. Have you been on there website there already releasing press releases about the coming cold spell!!!
  14. @Steve Murr will the heavy snow showed be reaching my location in Sussex or am I too far inland for the best results?
  15. In gfs lo rss don’t worry about that deep low to the south I would suspect that when it gets to closer in time it will be lots of smaller lows going along the Chanel as an much weaker feature. All in all no sign for this ending v quickly and that the breakdown will always be in lo ress
  16. @Steve Murr what are the chances for the south east areas to be placed under an red warning if the current model forecasts come off?
  17. Look at the control that is the ideal rout we want to go with the pv dropping into Scandinavia and the high taking over Greenland. Which would swing the winds round from an easterly to an north easterly. The warming supports this and at that rang the models will not have an handle of that evolution. But looking at previous winters where blocking has moved from Scandinavia to Greenland this it the most likely outcome.
  18. Paul what if it isn’t actually drunk and giving us some sober runs!!!!!!!
  19. Any sign of yamkin im sure he will have some interesting info on the cold spell.
