  1. No flooding in house this time,main issue being not want go out for long just in case, Just want some respite from this weather, Mild dry sunny or cold dry sunny will do,

Rain eased for now,but some sharp showers, We here doing OK at moment,but bit of knife edge for us people close to river, Really now depends how much more rain we get, The clearing of debris from river over last few days have helped situation and water flowing under bridges is not being blocked, Been some landslip on hillside but not much and not reached river, In summary not too bad,

Yes forgot about the ice on inside bedroom window, Hot water bottle in bed and torch at ready to watch snow at night.Wake in morning to sound of people shovelling snow, My Dad covering engine of his Ford Popular at night with blanket, trying start it in morning with starting handle, Was milk monitor at school, delivering frozen milk to class rooms, My God getting old

Feb 18 1978,AT time in Weymouth Dorset, Going to work 6.30 pm heavy rain, Wilst at work went outside 8pm to massive blizzard, The most severe snow I have ever seen, Have been in snow storms in Noway.Scotland,Austria etc, Yet biggest ever snow storm seen was on south coast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, There is book Blzzard that buried Dorset,
  12. Suppose one good point about the state of river is the dreaded Comarant not like flooded rivers, Give fish stock break from them, Having said that. think rather have few Comarants than this

River level very high, Fields now showing surface water, The Lane that services part village still clear of water, No flooding yet, With respite forecast tomorrow. will inspect our area of river for any debris that may be washed down, But at moment seems OK,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Looking for decent weather station to buy, Would need suitable for beginner,

Was really good see deep snow on ground for Christmas Day 2010, For Dorset was treat to behold, Having spell snowy weather during course of any winter is always nice, If snow was just standard winter fare then would not be so enjoyable, I visit Oslo most winters to stay with family, still get excited when snows, But people there just not bother, But couple years ago turned rather mild and rained for few days, Actually became talking point that was unseasonable mild for January

  20. Thanks, We have about 15 familys this side river been badly affected few weeks back, Other side river The Church and clusters houses get affected. Worse know it in 8 years been here, My son I worry about they had it real bad and has I type his Wife in Exeter Hosp waiting birth,Hope she hurrys up so can be home in next day or two, before gets too bad,
