    Persistant light snow here.Still to wet on the ground though for it to settle. Seems an extra 200 ft could have made the difference tonight i think snowmad79 will be seeing seetleing snow now

    Yes my earlier forecast is looking very good unfortunately. RAIN here still and the horrid sound of drip drip drip. Woefully some parts further south are actually repoting SNOW. BBc forecast is rubbish for here as well. might be a few tumblweeds blowing across this thread in a few hours. :o

    just been out to the shop and yes its rain,feels quite cold but the uppers are way too high im afraid guys. oh dear just looked at ukmo ,roll on summer .

    Steady drizzle here the snow shield is fully operational once more. On a serious note its not looking great is it? The heavier stuff will probably not reach here we'll just get the dregs of the front and the milder air assosiated with it. Watch out for the rain turning to to snow as we see undercutting from the continent,trouble is this will be happening down in the midlands and further SE. Personally i am not overly disappointed as my expectations were low anyway.

    Can't see much coming from this guys.Light rain being reported in crewe and that beeb forecast is incredibley frustrating with the band hitting us as light rain beofre it moves back SE turning to snow!!!! Hopefully things will change for the better but im fully prepared for light rain and amaybe a bit of sleet before the system moves away and leaves us under crappy cloud cover and a thaw of any remaining snow from last week. rubbish!

    Just watched the bbc forecast and unfortunately it looks like RAIN here possibly turning to wet snow as it heads back SE,thats no good to me as my snowcover will melt in the heavy rain. Oh dear.

    Its a let down Dodge i just went outside and i can hear drip drip drip. Very wet snow and this was what i was worrying about to be honest.

    LOL just looked at the radar looks like it will have gone through by about 7pm!!! Hopefully a freeze to follow tonight but i havent even had a cm LOL. Tomorrow night might produce but i note with interest places in the midlands are seeing heavier snow than us and its come from the blinkin west! How poor is this!!!

    Oh no i am deffo getting the feeling this has been a bit overhyped. As james said we really could have done with this during the night or early morning. I now expect it to change to rain though the evening. Another let down beckons for the NW.
