Most certainly as done, extremely heavy snow. Still coming down though not quite as heavy now.

Only a few miles up road here in Rotherham (At sea level) Snow's been absolutely pounding down for last 3 hours. Incredible scenes!

Snow heavy again here in Rotherham. Some very strange reports on north west thread. Seems to be more Snow to western side while some places to east are reporting rain.

Plus Snow in Wrexham area in Wales thread.

None of this is coming like I expected, even in north west thread places like St Helens that were reporting rain an hour ago now have heavy snow.

She is reet nice. But I do have a feeling coming on that most of this is going to turn into a damp squib for us low down. Too many gaps, not persistent enough and reports of rain in West Midlands. Before we know it everything will have past to east.

I think you'll be proved wrong. I expect Sheffield especially west side will see large amounts of snow.

Apparently its Snowing down in Poole so I'll eat my hat if we don't see any Snow.

After Snow clears in early hours temperature is expected with to remain below freezing point and only rise to around 2c tomorrow.

Looking at forecast that's just been on local BBC a good 6+ hours of very heavy snow tomorrow evening and a Max temperature on Saturday of only 2 or 3'c should give us some superb wintry scenes.

Local BBC forecaster on last news bulletin said minus 4 with patchy light Snow through tonight and tomorrow. Significant Snowfall on Friday, becoming less cold over weekend.

I might as well start this rolling again. Everything is looking awful from this weekend onwards. This coming mild spell will have the dafs shooting up and trees buds appearing in a fortnight.
