Nice to see your keeping the faith but I don't put to much faith in accuweather. From what I'm seeing in output I've lost hope for my location here's hoping others have more luck though!

Already has gone Pete Tong. Quite a few people with egg on there faces as far as I'm concerned and I'll hold my hands up and say I'm one of them. Was expecting far worse than this but unfortunately it's easy to get caught up in the hype from the mad thread and look at your own thoughts. Biggest lesson ever learnt from me this year! Never again.

Finally seen snow flakes in Sandbanks a rarity!

Just dropped to 3oC after a 4oC high here in costa del sandbanks. Clouding over now.

Doesn't look great for Dorset with Thursday event diminishing. Wednesday I think could sneek something in. "Maybe"

Still showing on mine. Wouldn't be surprised if they get removed for Dorset given the trend to shift the low to west and Ireland on Thursday. Pretty much as expected today really showers dieing out just short of Southampton at the moment.

Is it me or does this seem to be coming much further inland already than expected? Look like one coming down the m3 north past Southampton already.

Not a done deal but looking like far south west could do well from Thursdays low. Warm up now looking likely over the weekend. Could change but doubt it now. Tone has been brought down in the weather warning too.

Well wording on this yellow warning to do with this low on Thursday and Friday looks like they a expect a non event really. Just mentions a slight chance and small chance in the wording. All gone wrong by the looks of things? Edit. It's all gone west by the looks of things so could be a south west event Bournemouth and poole missing the worst. You get the worst cold spell in years and can't even get a flake for Poole and Bournemouth. Nothing showing my app till Thursday but very light and rain Friday. Says it all. Just a cold spell then for us.

Well have to say met office app tonight for poole and bournemouth area looks just cold. Warnings lifted apart from Thursday and not one flake showing till then and turning to rain by 1am Friday. Pretty dire.

Summers coming Just goes to show what an utter farce and waist of time it is to look at model runs. Im going back to old school ways by sticking your head out the window. Well I'm working in Dorchester today and I've noticed on the met office app for Friday showed very heavy snow fall for Friday. Then within 1 hr of the GFS run this changes to light. BUT within the last 20mins it's reverted back to heavy snow. Still very optimistic (for a change) Fridays event will be epic. I don't expect the gfs outcome happening myself especially against such a cold pool. Expect a blend between gfs n ecm option which would be good enough.

I'l be radar watching loads and really hope we get it I was very positive yesterday that we would get a battering today I've had a big wobble and not so sure. If we can't get a decent event in this set up then when can we. For now it's hopecasting till we hit reliable timeframe.

There was no uncertainty 2 days ago hence all the ranting n raving with them clearly saying the south and east to be worse hit. How you can't see this is a downgrade for southern and western counties is beyond me. It's back to hopecasting again. Do I think we'e see snow in the air next week yeah I do but I'm not convinced at all now we're get anything major yet. As ever more runs needed.

Well thats a complete backtrack to what was said a couple of days ago so confirms my point even more. No idea why everyone is liking this post when it clearly stated only two days ago to expect significant snow fall yes it says significant towards end of the week but that's now being viewed as unlikely with it heading to France. Hope that's wrong and we get paisted myself but I'm just trying to be more realistic now.

Trust me I been raving about this myself and to others for days doesn't give you much confidence when all that's shown is an inch for the south and a retreating low pressure on Thursday. Big wobble time for me today.

Erm no it won't that's very light snow in a breeze. Absolutely nothing being shown as disruptive for the south even latest update is for the low on Thursday to hit France instead. My expectations for this has gone out the window today.
