  1. Funny how some people when they say its a rain only event and all over and expect warning to be removed for Northern Ireland it's posted! I stated this an hr ago bout weather warning and it was not shown! Not getting at you mountain shadow because I totally agree with you. We will get nout. Been saying his for days. Once again across the Irish Sea get it all.
  2. Well Iv been saying this for days that I didn't think it wouldn't happen here. I still stand by that. In fact I'm 98% sure we will see nothing. The other side of the irish see get truck loads of snow as usual. What a woeful winter here so far.
  3. Latest gfs has whole of uk snowbound bar Ireland and sw!! What a turnaround. Gone are the snow maps. What has this country got to do to see snow this year!
  4. Gfs pushing everything east again on latest run so I'm afraid this is only going one way folks as expected. And that's rain for most
  5. As I said. Don't think it will happen here. Been saying this for days and I didn't buy into it. Hope I'm wrong
  6. It's not just met eirann though. Bbc reginal website for Northern Ireland indicates rain and sleet. That was updated at 4am so they agree with met eirann
  7. I know it is. I just have this gut feeling it ain't going to work out for us. In theses marginal cases we normally end up on the wrong side I'm afraid. I know the charts look gret but the experts state otherwise.
  8. Well I don't get it! What computer do they use!! It's light years away from what people are saying here. Also look at met office website regional forecast for Northern Ireland as it is saying heavy rain snd sleet with snow on high ground. Yet have warning for us! All completely confusing. So a long way to go as expert opinion from professionals ain't looking good for here going by that
  9. Least they can't get it wrong. It's one or the other!! I still have me doubts but remain hopeful.
  10. I see the bbc website has weather warnings for parts of England fri. Nout for us yet. Is the downgrade or shift starting
  11. The met forecast is actually nearly completely opposite to all other forecasts. They have fri and sat mainly dry and poss snow late weekend! Very very strange. Worrying thing is met eirann are normally pretty on the money ! Now I'm worried.
  12. I take it by how quiet it is on here things have taken a dive for the island of Ireland and we are out of snow as usual. Out and about so avnt seen gfs or ukmo. Just guessing as no posts here
  13. If this comes off I would say anyone with a bit of altitude 250ft and above will def see more than 2-5cm
  14. Well the met office have just issued a weather warning for Northern Ireland on Friday so maybe not all rain for ireland
  15. Stormforce and pomeroysnow that is music to my ears. I'm still very uncertain but that sounds good ref snow for fri and Greenland high! I would love to be wrong! Here's off upgrades
  16. To add to my above. The latest further outlook mentions periods of rain for he west with maybe hill snow. Just don't think it's going to happen
  17. You can put Northern Ireland into the snow category as well I think. I just cannot for love nor money see this happening for us going by latest gfs! We really need the cold to move east for us. Time will tell and I hope I'm so so wrong but all I can see is rain rain rain!
  18. Latest gfs output is a step backwards for us I'm afraid. Cold getting pushed east. At the mo most are probably looking at a rain evEnt. Time for change though but as ever when we get closer in downgrades!!
  19. Saw that mountain shadow. Lets hope it sticks to that. Knowing our luck nearer the time it will prob be rain the way our luck has fallen this year!! I see those unreliable snow risk maps on the gfs have nearly completely taken away the great charts of last night! Unless your on high ground.
  20. Well met eirann forecast isn't to good. Snow mainly on high ground I'm afraid. Typical. Just wish we could get a northerly or a Greenland high. Really hate easterlys
  21. Yeah I'm not convinced yet either I'm afraid! The bbc are certainly being very cautious not even to mention the possibility! Lets hope this doesn't materialise to nothing
  22. If the low keeps continually moving south we could miss the snow altogether if I'm reading the charts right!! In the mod thread ian ferguson has posted that it may just be a Devon and Cornwall event now as they are expecting a big push south!! Hope not
  23. Yes. BBC weather showed it dry with temps of 5 degrees!! Very strange but not surprising as anything could happen!! St least there is a slim chance of it coming off!! If we all pray enough maybe it will happen! On a brighter note I was just out for a run in saintfield co down and it rained, sleet and snow my whole run!!
