    East coast because that's were the coldest air will be currently. Of course that could and will change with each westward movement hopefully.

    Still need another good shift westwards I feel but at least it's a start. Still a long way to go for the whole of Ireland. Does seem a bit better for eastern areas in the north though but still need more of a shift to the west. Which could easily happen in the next run I feel.

    The way the models are I can't see us getting any proper snow. Maybe hills and mountains. That it. Just not happening for us I'm afraid. England will get loads !

    I'm afraid I'm still not convinced. Gfs looks worse than earlier run!! This is by far in fact a mile from being a done dealers cold!! Don't like how consistent it's becoming with this outlook. Hope I'm wrong but seome model or models are going to look stupid

    On a 14 hr shift at work. Can't see models. What's the update after all today's runs so far for the east coast of Northern Ireland over the weekend and next week and rest of Ireland. Are we still set to miss out. Someone at work told me England going to get hammered???

    Not liking were the gfs is taking us last two runs! I'm getting very edgy again. This is looking like December all over again!! Will we ever get a bloody break this year!!

    I'm afraid I only see this going one way today! Mild! Expect ECM and ukmo to follow suit. I just think this winter was doomed since December. Ain't getting the brakes I'm afraid.

    I really don't see the cold coming this year I'm afraid. Always 200hrs plus then nearer the time the downgrades come!! Just not the country to live in if u like snow I'm afraid!!

    I fully expect the ECM to remain as it is. Especially as the ensembles are some way off the op run. I think it will be Prozac time in an hr I'm afraid. This is nowhere near set in stone short term or medium to long term!! I really can't see it working out this year the way u all want it. That granted there may be a few colder spells but nothing sustained that I can see. Mind u I would love to be completely wrong.

    So u think like me the east coast could get a dusting here in Ireland. Maybe time to jump in the car and head to the east coast of Ireland this weekend!

    If anything I can't see it going any further west so I would say 90% rain for Ireland except possible the east coast that may get a wintry mix!! Will we ever hit the jacket. I really despise easterly's at times !

    I would say its highly likely!! Everything is always chasing shadows! Next week, the week after, end of month,start of next month!! Soon be summer with bout to show! Again!! As much as I'm interested in strat I'm not convicted yet!

    Agree!! As much as I know he loves ECM . He's normally spot on. More so than IF lately

    Think the ECM is right here. Looks like this winter is going down the drain!!! Get ready for gfs to back down it's snowy outlook by half. Just the country we live in surrounded by water in the Atlantic. Hope I'm way off here but we never get mucky I'm afraid. It's always 200hrs away these lovely snowy charts! Can nobody see the trend!! Into the reliable it all disappears !! 8 times out of ten! Expect more of the same !

    Meto update as useful as anything at the moment!! They constantly change so wouldn't read much into it. Like everyone they haven't a clue at the mo in lrf !!

    This is getting boring waiting for some consistency !! I honestly have a gut feeling this is all going to crash around us!! Will this cold ever reach our shores properly!! That's the uk and Ireland.

    Good post Robbie!!! Iv a friend who lives in Green Bay!! Endless snowcat the mo. these fronts are streaming across america at the mo!!! It's like a train on speed!! We need them to stop. Hopefully come jan the Atlantic train slows down and we benefit!!!

    Thanks nick. Appreciate the feedback!! I guess the weather is like Newcastle brown ale!!! Ten bottles in everything ir Rosey!! Then once the dust settles ie. the alcohol strikes its back down to earthy with a bang!! That beautiful chart the night before looks somewhat different in the morning time!!! If u get my drift !!! Lets hope the charts have the brown ale ants stick it to it the next morn!! God us in Northern Ireland need the humour at the mo!! Take care

    Love your posts steve& nick. Especially the banter with chino!!! Makes this thread what it is. What are the chances in your own personal views for snow in n.ireland!! I know your preference is for an easterly and that I can understand!! My wife is a Geordie!! And a fine one at that !! No coats needed in that neck off the woods ! But I honestly think this winter could be good from the new year!!
