Well as iv said. It's comical. Talking bout heavy snow on thurs- fri too so u can be sure that wont happen either! Just go the opposite of what is forecast.

Ha ha. Warning for Northern Ireland even above 200 metres now gone. So to think Fridays event will come off at this stAge is very wishful thinking! They got Tuesday warning completely wrong 12 hrs out!! They really are diabolical to be honest.

It's heavy mountain shadow. Trying hard to lie but hills around saintfield look like its def lying so I reckon it's lying in carryduff being that bit higher!! Been constant since 3 ! Where has this come from. Next week looks good now too???? !!!

Good. Bring on the spring. Was never going to snow anyway. I'm sick of the models showing snow one day, then none, then rain, then snow on high ground! God they are bound to get it right out of that lot!' Best way to predict the weather??? Get up and look out the blinking window!! Then u won't be banging your head against a wall a hundred times over!!! Followed by more innacurate forecasts which never materialise! Or if they did u would have to be sitting on the tail of a 747 jumbo jet at 35,000ft watching a blue moon and pigs flying!!

Met office outlook just cant be trusted. What's the point of it! Seriously. It changes with the wind. Why does anyone pay attention to it.

Just back from boston this morn!! I have never ever in my entire life see snowfall quite like I witnessed last weekend!!! Once in a lifetime opportunity!! As much as I love snow that is dangerous!!! We wouldn't want that here as we would be shutdown for weeks!! Then we hAd another snowstorm sat night! Looking forward to spring now!!

Just at airport and saw this morning we had a weather warning! I really can't see that happening and think meto will have egg in their face over this! Someone at airport trying to wind me up saying 2 foot of snow and blizzard expected in boston tomorrow! Idiot! If only. That would be boos to see. Good luck this week all. Just off for another pint!

Ok guys. Heading down to dublin tonight to get my flight to boston in the morn then onto chicago next week. Hope u guys get your snow while I'm away more than the southerners in England !! That would make my day. I'm hoping for a bit of snow when I'm away but we will see. Knowing my look there will be a heat wave !!

Yeah a bit misleading the headline from the bbc! About 0.2% of the population of america have been hit by that storm!! It's mostly Canada. Anyway your right about the west. Very strange more snow forecast for central and eastern areas from this airflow. Don't get it.

Sorry I will rephrase ! America not including Canada which your source the bbc refers too!! They have had snow just way below average on a whole! My source accu weather america and weather channel!

I have to be honest and think a lot of people are going to be disappointed with this expected snow. I really cannot for the life of me see much in the way of snow! Certainly accumulating snow away from high ground. I think the met office warning is a complete cover your ass reaction! I mean its a nw airflow and those in these areas are not really included in warning ! Normally the coast/or fringed coastal nw areas do favourable from this set up! This occasion theY don't! Just doesn't add up. I hope I'm wrong of course. Least we are getting a chance. USA/ certainly North America on the whole are having another truly dreadful winter snow wise for the 2nd year running! How times are changing.

Sparky what met I.e outlook are u looking at it? Met eirann outlook is very wintry looking! Actually more wintry than what they forecast for the last snow we had an I got hammered?? Just curious? Met office also going for heavy wintry showers in ulster on Tuesday????

I think everywhere up north will see a few number of snow showers and dublin should see some as it will be a strong northwesterly flow. I think some places could do quite well out of this especially ronan up there in the northwest. God they deserve it this winter!! Ps I hope it's not that bad next sat in dublin as I fly to Chicago then!!

To be honest,what some of us had in the east the last week was special! Never known it to snow heavy continuously for approx 10 hrs on two separate days within the space of three days. I had at least 6-8 inches on the ground since last fri until last night! Not bad for a cold spell in this country! More than we could ask to be honest. But as u say here's hoping everybody sees some before winter is done. As time is now marching on.

That's why we should take theses daily updates with a pinch of salt! They constantly change their minds! In my eyes LRF are no closer than years ago with there accuracy!! Prob change there mind again tomorrow

Yes I'm glad that we are getting a break from the snow as well. Travel in and out of Belfast has been a complete nightmare the last seven days. Not saying I don't want more snow but I'm just glad for the break at the mo! Least it's not boring with rain and storms forecast.
