By mon or tues of next week I now fully expect much better runs in terms of cold prospects. Things are now changing for the better and I expect snow last week of jan! Everything is going to fall into shape and there will be a lot of happy people on here. I expect the east to bear the brunt of the snow snd cold but everyone will be prone to a covering of some description. Expect big upgrades in the days ahead.

Yep roll on the summer! Got to be the biggest borefest ever in relation to cold and snow and currently looks like no change on the horizon at all. Just horrific to be honest. I really have had enough waiting for snow. Even in other crappy years at least we got the odd day or two of a good northerly when waiting for a cold spell. This year! ZIP!!! It's just utterly pathetic! Not only here may I add but Europe is dire as well! Everyone needs to emigrate to canada and USA I feel! Lol

Bit of a backward step I'm afraid this morning. Not looking as good for our island. To be expected chasing snow from an easterly. But time for things still to change. It's been tough getting cold this winter so far. Elevation will help mind you.

Normally very good for us in the east if the Irish Sea helps us out a little. Though I agree with Ronan. Very poor indeed for the NW

East coast of ireland has a great chance for snow! If models stay the same. Obviously the further west u go this reduces significantly at present. But things can and will change. For the better or worse? Who knows

Great charts this morning even for ireland. Particularly on the east of Ireland and Northern Ireland with great snow potential here! Time will tell but def looking good at the mo!

Just as we continue with poor outlook the north east of USA gears up for another snowstorm thurs! Unreal. They have our snow! Lol

Well last time I checked map Belfast is on east coast! I'm up in castlereagh hills smithy. Maybe not on the beach but technically east of the province

Well it was mental here. Still is. Electricity of and on all night and this morn. Trees down, planes diverted, damage reported at aldergrove airport roof,and roads closed! Don't know what else u want to happen smithy weather. !!

Very windy and gusty but def have had worse. And I'm very exposed were I live. Exciting weather though.

Irish met keeping there cards close to their chest.Not much mention of this so called awful storm! ,aybe they are onto something. i also think the chance of snow is disappearing rapidly away from high ground over festive period

I think this is actually going to be worse than expected. This system is developing quicker than expected. Think quite a portion of n.ireland should currently be under amber warning!j not just areas high lighted at the mo. I expect a bit if damage from this to be honest !

Strange that from Northern Ireland weather on facebook because met office only going for warning on north and east coast? Can't really see much in way of snow either I'm afraid on Thursday. Also think we will miss on Xmas. Just! But a little tweak here and there we may get lucky. At the mo I think it's a long shot. After Boxing Day ? Well that's a different story. I'm expecting some good cold charts with snow to gather pace in the next few days. Either way, it's some weather at the mo.

Met office further outlook retracts wintry showers for NW areas etc. just wind and rain now. I am bit surprised only the very tip of the north coast is under warning for wind. I expect that to change nearer the time .

Just arrived in boston for four nights with the other half! Cold!!!! Snowstorm incoming they say! Good timing on my behalf. U guys Njoy the windstorm back home. Be safe !

Was snowing between carryduff and saintfield 30 mins ago. Then brief snow in saintfield. Least we seen some !!!
