your spit on ronan. Met office updated warnings including today again! I just can't see snow from this but they are the experts! Have to wait and see I guess. They say showers will form so prob a now casting situation. I think I need a drink before footie

Just to add met eireann forecast a few days ago indicated not much snow and mainly dry over the weekend for Much of ireland. They have been spot on! Hopefully they are right ref mon but I Think they will have to change that soon.

Yeah just crap to be honest. Majority of winter been downgrade after downgrade nearer the time. We should all move to america I think. Ha ha. Don't expect nothing from mon night now. Looks like east of England going to get majority of snow. Very poor indeed.

Have to agree ronan. It's been utterly rubbish apart from maybe weds. Can't see much snow at all this week in this supposed arctic outbreak. As for the met office warnings for this weekend they are pretty of the mark by the looks of it. I see today's has been removed. Unless it's been updated, but I don't see snow amounting to much at all this week. Mainly dry and cold. Crap for winter really. U can be sure when it eventually gets mild again there will be a tonne of precipitation. Just the climate we live in I'm afraid. Very hard to get proper snow of late

0445 pomeroysnow this morn it was updated so I am utterly confused ! No idea what's going on but will tell.

Very weird forecast pomeroysnow. If I go to met eireann outlook from Monday it looks brilliant! Weird.

Cheers MS. You may do ok out of this. Heres hoping a few troughs develop to give other people an opportunity but those in the north and east could do well out of the set up,

whats your feeling on accumulations MS for the weekend. MO seem quite bullish. Havnt checked models but read on one of the threads that the low was to far west to affect the UK . Obviously Ireland wasnt in their thinking if low is still near us. I would agree with Tamara. Nothing set in stone just yet

The met office warnings bomber have actualy been brought forward what i can see and remmeber from yest.They didnt have it starting until 4pm onwards and it was not as far south yest as it is today either. So all to play for really. But no warning whatsoever yet for this low on tues that everybody has been talking about. Maybe too early

Well i can confirm my friend who works in airport operations at Aldergrove have just in the last 10mins received a snow warning for an "organised band of snow" to move in this evening . 2-5 cms of fresh snow expected. Further sleet and snow showers to follow overnight. So there may be some weight to this polar low!

It is indeed MS. Has been snowing last 20 mins in Castlereagh hills and it is def starting to lie. Another shower incoming.

Met eireann only have up to 3 cms. Not much really. I await met office update with intrigue to see if it's change. Huge differences between weather sites on estimates!

Yeah. I think the north west will do well again. Not convinced at all anywhere in east will see that much I'm afraid. Hope I'm wrong though.

I don't take weather seriously enough to write a letter!! That's just ridiculous. I'm not negative just a realist. If u think today warranted a weather warning It beggars belief!! And as I stated it should have been more for NW than whole of Northern Ireland. Also I was lead to believe this was a forum off certain views and different opinions ronan do if u don't like my opinions I advise u to ignore them! Anyhow I think I will leave this forum now as I for one am not one with a negative view in life. Quite the opposite recently due to health issues. So by all snd Njoy your forum.

Around 8 MS but I can't see it happening at all. And yes today has been a massive let down. Hence why I wasn't getting my hopes up. The met warning was just ridiculous in my eyes. U need clouds for it to snow! We had no clouds today!!

According to matt hugo there is a trough approaching from the northwest for this eve. So maybe it will show up on radar soon MS

My point exactly MS. I see nothing that's shows snow at min though as u say automated shows heavy snow. If there is no snow that warning by met office is just ridiculous. But who knows it may happen. But I can't see it at all.

Why is everyone looking forward to later ? Because there hasn't been much snow about yet!

Loving this touted pattern change to much colder weather that was forecast for January! 15 degrees forecast today and no sign really of a cold spell next couple weeks at least. Shows the westher really does what it wants and models etc should not be considered more than 5-6 days out. But plenty of time left !! HNY to all
