    Think Smithy got out of the wrong side of bed this morn. This is ireland not Russia! We don't get contstant long hard summers. They are quite often 2-3 day wintry outbreaks. I will take anything. It's all a bonus in this island. Long hard winters I meant

    My 7th day of thick snowfall on the ground and snowed every day at some point since last thurs night!

    Been snowing on and off all morning in Saintfield. Somebody said it was sunny in carryduff ! So it is very localised as carryduff only 5 mile north of Saintfield

    Still snowing here too!! Unbelievable amount of snow! I'm astounded of how much has fallen!

    I can agree with what the psni hsve said!! Left work in antrim at 6.15 and all was going great until I got to forestside ! Just in through the effing door now! Got stuck in MS country carryduff! Serious snow there! Had to walk from carryduff to sainfield to my sisters which while not pleasant quite funny! Serious snow in saintfield too ! Now on sailor jerry!! Much more to come. This is a proper nor'easter!!!

    Still Rain outside antrim ! And this was in the red zone from NIW! Sitting here at work im wondering what all the fuss is about and then i read whats going on everywhere else! sods law

    Think it may just be hills that get affected from now till tomorrow. No idea were they got 10-15 cms on low ground. However there was bout two-3 inches going through saintfield and carryduff. A bit of elevation must help. Though saintfield is only bout 80 metres ASL.?

    Fair play to Roger! he called rain during the day.. It was raining going throgh carryduff and glengormley this morning! and they have elevation. Complete damp sqid by met office! this was my fear yest as i didnt think there would be that much! 30cms! get real

    Think I will stick to the met office. Could just be sour grapes from roger. Time will tell. What will be will be!! One thing for sure is we will see snow! How much. Anybody's guess!

    Either there has been a dramatic turnaround for us or they are judging severity!! Maybe there is something in NIW taken away red warning!!

    But that's always been the case sparky. Ireland as a whole was only ever getting rain. It's Northern Ireland especially east and northeast to get the worst.

    Bbc national weather just mentioned ' huge snow totals ' for Northern Ireland especially above 100 metres ! They had a symbol of 20-40cms for us and northern Scotland! Bring it on! Sorry southern Scotland'

    Maybe they saw met ie forecast had changed there mind or may e things have changed. Which I doubt.

    Thought that. Least I have some elevation and I am a good 10-15 miles inland. Bring it on. I wait updated met warning. Surely an amber is due!

    What do they classify low levels. I'm roughly 70 metres above see level. I take it that's low level.

    Met eirann forecast is like a damp squid! They talk bout snow for high ground and at times lower ground for ulster with accumulations mainly on high ground. Updated at 09.15!! Are ther for real!! Do they know something met office clearly don't????
