    Well bara best forecast on newsline was as useless as, well I'm not saying it! Don't want to offend him! As much as 25 cms over high ground and SEVERAL cms on low ground!! Hardly warrants an amber warning!! Utv gave 10cms low lying! WTF!

    That's good to see. Just a pity it is starting as rain as that will reduce the accumulations quite significantly. However much better than it was this time yesterday. Hoping for upgrades as all the talk was for us to get hit bad this morn

    Good news this morning then. Friend of mine works at Belfast international and they have just received a preliminary snow warning. 2-5 cms possible but further updates expected as the accumulations could be significantly higher! I expect met will issue warning in due course. Obviously further east could see more.

    If the runs stay as they are or shift further west we will have a snow warning as mountain shadow said. That I have no doubt. Sleepless night now ahead !

    Big lad things are changing and hopefully things will firm up tomorrow. Certainly much more positive for the east. Mountain shadow are these the updated fax charts? Can't get access to them.

    Lets hope so keithlucky. We still live in hope over here. If we miss out friday at least things looking up through the weekend and next week

    Ronan. That's been out since 3 before new model output was out. Since then Northern Ireland weather have stated they are thinking of re issuing the snow warning for the east on fri. So u never know

    We await the ECM and Northern Ireland westher if they re issue the warning of snow god the east. At least that's a positive.

    Surely they couldn't make such an error! I'm really beginning to think we are cursed. Everything indicating snow but we get rain! I'm stunned and bemused !

    Go on MS, contact them. Do u think it could change to snow for the east later anyway if they haven't taken the new output on board. Looks strange to say the least

    Ha ha watcher. I cannot believe the whole of uk has a snow warning and we have rain!! Just unreal. Looks like we were wrong MS

    Yeah beginning to think meto might have to revise their weather warning. Certainly to include east Northern Ireland. Things starting to slowly look up. But as you say mountain shadow it's on a knife edge ! Prob all change later again knowing our luck. What's your take on it. Bit happier than earlier I guess Didn't expect a rain warning! God. Maybe not snow then!

    Yeah I figured the GFS would back track and follow NAE. What we don't want now is for it to go east again later on! We need more movement west.

    Maybe enough for east ulster do u not think. Lets hope it continues on its westward run later.

    Rainband currently 150 west on latest 12z NAE! U may get your wish mountain shadow. A small step in the right direction. I now expect GFS to follow suit.

    Still all to play for I think. This will be down to now-casting!! That's good news MS. Bet that's perked your interest up again if only a little! God knows John! Least met eirann can't get it wrong. Talk in mod thread that front isn't making as much headway as first thought this morn!!

    GP going for very cold outlook from weekend and met office outlook (10 days) cool and rainy for most! Who will be right

    Exactly. Just hope the angle of attack is better than fri or we may be looking the same result I'm afraid. But to be honest I think this may be our final letdown as gh seem to be building. Even a NE is much better for us!

    I saw that storm force. I think pomeroysnow may be onto something. Look it shifted east very quickly so it could shift back west quickly too. As MS said all we need is it to move west by 100 miles and its jackpot time again!! I know it's the long shot but its happened before. To be perfectly honest I'm more happy that rain is predicted and the chance it may turn too snow than snow forecast and it just rains!! It could happen but we may get a surprise.

    Yes pomeroysnow. I would tend to agree that it may be a rain to snow event. It just depends how much rain before hand and if we can get this low to pivot and undercut more. Look it's a huge letdown ref fri but on a positive note it can't get an lower than this morning. Lets see if gp is right, we may not have to wait long. The warning could go back up for fri night and sat again with a little bit of luck!

    Hats off to met eirann. There computer must be ok because they never bought into this snow outlook. I'm just going to continue to post until one is shown before I actually contact net weather myself to ask why some of my posts are not shown. In case it's a glitch which I know it's not. I know who is playing games
