  1. Cold air being dragged down as the storm hits the North Sea. Pretty messy to forecast in fairness to the experts.
  2. May as well make good use of my latest capture. LIVE shot at 8pm. Someone mentioned few pages back about the remnant low (squared) aiding some of the ppn from last night and how it's still out west. It is indeed and if anything it's firing up a little.. There's a lot of cold air in that area and soon it'll mix with Christoph's outer (warmer) clouds. After midnight will be pretty interesting maybe even further west than thought. (BTW, Christoph should now be on the way rapid deepening soon). Each image is 7Mb in size.
  3. Using a quadrifilar helix antenna () at nearly 40ft height, a USB dongle, laptop with fast processor and some other relevant software, here we are right into the nitty gritty of Storm Christoph as the Meteor M2 weather satellite went overhead the storm. Can't get any more up to date (at this time). First image 10.3mb so good to enlarge and see what's going all around. Cold air south of Iceland about to meet the storm and then head east towards UK = explosive.

  5. Here's the wee shitey #StormChristoph captured earlier this morning. Will quickly form into something more obvious soon enough.
  6. Will certainly be a big swell going down most of the north sea. Hope the Netherlands are prepared Fact remains, if this comes off, the north sea is a 100% feeder for snow. Probably be marginal temps again though
  7. Cracking day captured a minute ago from 825km above Earth. PD, check the snow (rain?) out west.
  8. O/T, but worth a post as it's ice. Basically sea ice (drift ice) extent just about joining Greenland and Iceland together. Not sure when this last happened but not common ? Denmark Strait full of ice. And as the crow flies (or aircraft), just 2.5 hours from here Took this pic few minutes ago with DIY soft and hardware. Open up for great detail. Last pic is a super definition 9Mb size.
  9. Here we have tonight's latest sat image overhead. Large 10Mb file displaying fine detail. Second pic is zoomed more over Scotland. Wee bonus seeing the snow over Alps too.
