  9. Testing new DIY weather satellite receiving software. This is Infared overhead shot of the low pressure off Ireland currently. Think the equipment working. Getting ready for winter storms
  10. With some hardware and DIY decoding software I can pull off images like attached to show current state of weather around Europe. Here's Iceland from this morning. I hope, as winter storms approach, I'll be able to provide more pics. Cheers - BFT

  13. If it's snow and ice you're after, then I managed to capture Greenland and Baffin Island earlier on MN-2 satellite pass. Looks like hefty dose of sea ice, icebergs dotted around.
  14. Sometimes I manage to get really good crisp and detailed high resolution captures. Check this out of Italy @ 8am this morning. Need this type of capture for UK when snaw is forecast. EDIT: Better if you open pic then right click.
  15. Very latest in hi-res sat pics I've just captured from Meteor M-N2 satellite. It went right over mu house Basically the UK is under all this cloud. If you get rain or snow it's in that clump for sure.
