  1. Nice morning at Heathrow, after some pretty dense fog earlier.
  2. Azazel Get well soon, lots of vitamins D3 and C really help with recovery. After a nice day yesterday in west London, it’s gloomy and drizzling this morning
  3. LetItSnow! Yes, some decent thundery activity would be great during the warmer months. I’ll never understand you and other people getting bored with sunshine in the UK, though. But each to their own A lovely sunny day here in Czechia with some fair weather cloud, should reach a pleasant 21°C. Had a very sharp shower yesterday evening, wasn’t forecast.
  4. Catbrainz I’m with you, definitely some decent thundery activity but absolutely no drizzle, strong winds, or unnecessary cloud at all. I can dream Azazel Hope it clears up soon. I’ve had a vile cold for the last 10 days and it’s really getting on my t**s now but the weather is helping
  5. Nice day in parts of the UK and also nice in Czechia, not quite as warm but plenty of sunshine and light winds
  6. In Absence of True Seasons danm Very nice scenes, no wonder blue is most people’s favourite colour in the UK, you hardly ever see it! Enjoy the lovely weather Here in Czechia it rained all day yesterday (which was needed, to be fair) and today is quite cloudy but not unpleasantly so
  7. A much cooler day here with spells of useful rain of varying intensities. Gave me a day off slaving in the garden
  8. markyo We’re so different, there’s no ‘stench’ in spring or summer for me, I love the smell of the air in these seasons. There’s definitely a smell of decay in autumn, but I enjoy the bonfire scent. Having covid 4 times has really messed up my sense of smell, though. Mainly cloudy here today with more interesting cloudscapes but my area dodged the thunderstorms. Felt pleasantly warm (19°C) despite the cloud.
  9. markyo What wonderful smells are there in autumn? Bonfires? To me, it generally smells of decay and death. Though I quite like the season if it’s misty/foggy with mellow sunshine
  10. Another decent day here in Czechia. More cloud but some good sunny spells with scattered thunderstorms (sadly, none hit my location). A respectable and pleasant 21°C attained.
  11. markyo Isn’t autumn your favourite season, where the ‘stench of death’ is literally everywhere?
  12. Wade Hmm, I didn’t mention any barring of thunderstorms I love them!
  13. A beautiful day here in Czechia, mainly sunny, very light winds and 22°C. Some thunderstorms developed on the horizon but didn’t get close. But great to see
  14. Wade The farming community wouldn’t agree with you, they’re having loads of problems as too much rain is as bad as not enough. And there’s certainly been too much over the last 8 months or so. A nice green landscape is lovely. Plants need sun too.
  15. MP-R Fair enough, it’s been relentlessly wet for so long, a few weeks without rain shouldn’t be an issue at all. Dark Horse Hopefully a pattern change very soon. The trees and flora in general will be using up more moisture now
  16. In Absence of True Seasons It’s raining here in Czechia. After some warm, sunny but stupidly windy days, admittedly. I’m pleased it’s raining here, as the ground was getting very hard and I’m laying a paved path, so it’s a bit softer now, thankfully. Unbelievably, much of Czechia is going into a rainfall deficit, despite lots of rain a few months ago. Definitely feel for you in the UK, it’s been relentless, months and months of wet weather. It doesn’t have to stop completely, just be interspersed by decent periods of sunshine. A very hard ask, it seems Some interesting clouds today in Czechia, but no thunder (as yet)
  17. Heading back to a warm Czechia this morning for 10 days or so, it’s a very gloomy start at Heathrow and feeling chilly
  18. MP-R it was 2007, got my years mixed up!
  19. MP-R Yeah, I do remember quite a long run of fairly sunny days but it only reached around 21°C each day, which to me isn’t overly warm in August. Though with my memory at the moment, I could be mixing years up
  20. Lucked out today in west London, plenty of blue sky and sunshine and a pleasant 19°C, despite that wind
  21. *Stormforce~beka* it’s always blowing a hurricane these days. Both here and in Central Europe. Just the direction changes. Of course, if 30°C is breached, the omnipresent wind magically disappears
  22. Frigid I remember August 2009 well. It was often sunny but I felt cold almost of the time
  23. A nice sunny start in west London, looking at the satellite I could be in a sweet spot today with a slice of clear skies over CS, SE and E England. 18°C will feel very pleasant if that wind doesn’t get up too much
  24. In Absence of True Seasons That forecast is already wrong Loads of cloud has bubbled up, and with that strong breeze, it doesn’t feel warm. Summer8906
