  1. Another decent day here in Czechia. More cloud but some good sunny spells with scattered thunderstorms (sadly, none hit my location). A respectable and pleasant 21°C attained.
  2. markyo Isn’t autumn your favourite season, where the ‘stench of death’ is literally everywhere?
  3. Wade Hmm, I didn’t mention any barring of thunderstorms I love them!
  4. A beautiful day here in Czechia, mainly sunny, very light winds and 22°C. Some thunderstorms developed on the horizon but didn’t get close. But great to see
  5. Wade The farming community wouldn’t agree with you, they’re having loads of problems as too much rain is as bad as not enough. And there’s certainly been too much over the last 8 months or so. A nice green landscape is lovely. Plants need sun too.
  6. MP-R Fair enough, it’s been relentlessly wet for so long, a few weeks without rain shouldn’t be an issue at all. Dark Horse Hopefully a pattern change very soon. The trees and flora in general will be using up more moisture now
  7. In Absence of True Seasons It’s raining here in Czechia. After some warm, sunny but stupidly windy days, admittedly. I’m pleased it’s raining here, as the ground was getting very hard and I’m laying a paved path, so it’s a bit softer now, thankfully. Unbelievably, much of Czechia is going into a rainfall deficit, despite lots of rain a few months ago. Definitely feel for you in the UK, it’s been relentless, months and months of wet weather. It doesn’t have to stop completely, just be interspersed by decent periods of sunshine. A very hard ask, it seems Some interesting clouds today in Czechia, but no thunder (as yet)
  8. Heading back to a warm Czechia this morning for 10 days or so, it’s a very gloomy start at Heathrow and feeling chilly
  9. MP-R Yeah, I do remember quite a long run of fairly sunny days but it only reached around 21°C each day, which to me isn’t overly warm in August. Though with my memory at the moment, I could be mixing years up
  10. Lucked out today in west London, plenty of blue sky and sunshine and a pleasant 19°C, despite that wind
  11. *Stormforce~beka* it’s always blowing a hurricane these days. Both here and in Central Europe. Just the direction changes. Of course, if 30°C is breached, the omnipresent wind magically disappears
  12. Frigid I remember August 2009 well. It was often sunny but I felt cold almost of the time
  13. A nice sunny start in west London, looking at the satellite I could be in a sweet spot today with a slice of clear skies over CS, SE and E England. 18°C will feel very pleasant if that wind doesn’t get up too much
  14. In Absence of True Seasons That forecast is already wrong Loads of cloud has bubbled up, and with that strong breeze, it doesn’t feel warm. Summer8906
  15. A lovely sunny start in west London. Let’s see how long it lasts…
  16. After earlier deluges it’s actually quite sunny now in west London. But a poor 11°C
  17. Rancid cold and wet day in west London, still chucking it down now. Made worse knowing at home in Czechia it was 21°C and sunny, grr
  18. richie3846 Yes, damaging late frosts are happening a lot recently in C Europe. They have a huge impact. It’s been a bit crazy temperature-wise over the last 3 weeks, got up to 28°C 2 weeks ago and then the last week-10 days has been absolutely baltic. English wine is getting a lot of interest and there are some excellent wines on offer. Quite a few vineyards are being established and French champagne growers are buying up land in SE England, apparently
  19. Alderc 2.0 That’s really bad luck mate, hope you’re comfortable and not in too much pain. These things can heal quicker than expected so fingers crossed this summer isn’t a complete write-off for you
  20. More cloud and feeling chilly yet again in west London, I’ve gone down with a yucky cold to add to the joy. Another frost in Czechia, apparently lots of fruit crops damaged, especially apples and grapes for wine. Late SSWs can do one
  21. Frigid Yes, it’s been a long, dreary slog. I’m not after April heatwaves either, a pleasant 16°C with predominantly sunny conditions and some traditional showers would suit me fine.
  22. *Stormforce~beka* I think many of us true weather enthusiasts are screwed, sadly
  23. raz.org.rain Same in winter. What a miserable climate, no one is happy, be they coldies or warmies
  24. 12°C and drizzling in west London. The foulness continues
