  1. I think its already stalled, but bring on the pivot! id be happy with moderate snow for a few more hours! And I've had a brief look at the models, and they show a possible event on sunday, all subject to change though of course!
  2. Judging by the welsh thread, its just started to snow heavily again! this is not over by a long way yet i dont think
  3. update from the meto, extending the heavy snow symbol now to 15:00! happpy days

  9. Cheers for the replies, just trying to get my head around timing for the front to hit my area, looks like it will be all snow event, just depends on how much falls I suppose, gotta love now casting!
  10. Greetings from the westmidlans! Looks like a fair few of you are having joy out of this, long may it continue ! one question how early did this front arrive?
  11. Cheers for the insight PL, quick update as all seems dead, still snowing here from the band earlier, amazing stuff, wind has really picked up in the past half an hour, its coming!
  12. the met office 5 day forecast really does make me laugh, my postcode has heavy snow now from 6-12, whereas 0.5km down the road.. they have heavy snow on and off for 12 hours! do not understand the logic
  13. met office still looks good for me, with an upgrade of heavy snow from 9 til 3 now! madness
  14. I think we might see a futher upgrade come morning, the band over us now was meant to fizzle out and you only have to look out the window to see whats actually happened! going for 10cm plus tomorrow in this part of birmingham! especially more over the lickey and beacon hills
  15. didn't think of clee hill to be honest beast of a hill
  16. Netweather forecast tomorrow has light showers in the early hours tomorrow? anyone explain?
  17. I also believe a merged thread is the way forward
  18. Friday seems to be shaping up nicely now, a little downgrade from an IMBY case from the GFS 12Z but we all know how poorly that has been performing lately. All to play for I reckon with some potentially high accumulations! I do worry, however, about the elderly folk, if this cold spell was to continue as per the latest ECM the uk will be in freeze for a long long time! now, where did i put my ramp?
  19. Judging by the latest 06z runs i am quietly confident of widespread snowfall with accumaltions widely of 15cm+ depending on altittude. roll on friday!
  20. hopefully will get a nice sugar dusting from this streamer, white pavements and roads, which will hopefully last out in this weeks sub zero temps
  21. snowing here in rubery again, temperature has taken a tumble aswell, now down to 0.5c compared to 2.6c an hour ago
  22. Well this is a suprise white out conditions and sicking to wet surfaces
  23. Turned to moderate snow! Maybe we just missed the mild sector after all! Only time will tell
  24. i can confirm its now raining in rubery (brum) fun whilst it lasted i suppose! looks like the margins were just too fine
