  1. Deffo a very slight thaw going on, can here dripping from the guttering! I think its a case of luck over the next couple of days regards snowfall and who gets what, i certainly did not expect 3 inches to fall on Tuesday, so despite some users saying teesside usually fairs quite poor with snowfall, you never know what or how much will fall. I also think its always a bonus to have the cold in place before any major snow event, especially when its perhaps a marginal event, may help to keep it in our favour
  2. I maybe wrong but im sure there is a slight thaw going on, hope it doesn't last long!!
  3. Quite a breeze is picking up round here, seems to be blowing quite abit of cloud cover over us, still bloody cold mind lol, hopefully might get some snow showers
  4. I can also confirm very light snow falling here now, the clouds have gone very dark to the north of me, maybe a surprise in store for someone
  5. None here Paul, just really icey, cars crunching on the ice as they drive past, nice platform for when the fresh snow arrives though
  6. Morning guys, blimey its cold out there this morning, just been reading the next few weeks outlook on the met office site, its looking pretty good i have to say, i know things can change but enjoy it while its here. UK Outlook for Thursday 31 Jan 2013 to Thursday 14 Feb 2013: Colder than average conditions are favoured across many parts of the UK, especially in the north and east. Whilst there is no strong signal for rainfall patterns through this period, drier than average conditions are more likely in the north, whereas the south may have near or even slightly above average rainfall. The frequency of snow events through this period may be more than experienced so far this winter.
  7. Loving the last paragraph their NL, guess your very confident in this cold hanging around, really hope your right
  8. Boro snow, oh dear that doesn't sound good, if it is marginal for us we will deffo get the rain, im no expert but its seriously cold outside so the chances of rain must be slim surely!
  9. I read that snowmaggedon, very exciting times ahead, need to keep our feet on the ground though, we seen what happened in December, Steve murr was on suicide watch after that let down, i think he is still reeling from it
  10. Cheers again frost, this could term out to be a winter to remember, fingers crossed
  11. Cheers frost, looking more and more like a prolonged spell of cold weather Is this due to the ssw that has took place or is that still to effect our weather further down the line?
  12. Snowstorm, you must be in one very unlucky place, im in ormesby and cannot believe what i have come home too, left work with a nice covering a cm or two this morning, i now have a 3 inches or so lol, the Mrs reckons i missed one he'll of a dumping this morning, looking at the sky coming in from the sea maybe more on the way.
  13. Snowing quite heavily here at the minute, we must of caught a shower drifting in off the sea
  14. 2/10 so far for this current cold spell, after reading some of the forecasts over the weekend today has been a let down in my area anyway, after the heavy snow shower this morning i thought we were on for something decent, still a few weeks of winter left yet : )
  15. Anyone know if it will swing in our favour over the next few days with regards to snowfall or is that pretty much it?
  16. You lot enjoy your snow showers, ill keep you informed on rain showers im currently enjoying haha, im not bitter honestly lol
  17. Another rainy sleety night on teesside by the looks of it, shame as the snow this morning was the best spell since 2010.
  18. Can the people in charge of our country change weather patterns!!! Think about it, the last thing they want is a country that is crippled in debt and is about to be hit from a major cold spell, at Christmas when the most money is been spent, roads blocked, people staying in, shops shut, makes sense to me that if they knew something very cold was on route, they could influence the climate around us, I know it sounds aload of dog biscuits but hey you never know, loads of vids on YouTube about this particular subject, haarp technology I think its called. Also when you see some of them charts that were been produced, it does make you wonder how things can change that quick!!! sorry guys thats my conspiracy theory moan out the way!!!
  19. someone posted in the model thread a few days back that the epic spell of snow we had two Winters back was not picked up until 3 days before it hit the uk. Could it be the same this time around , im not saying it will be as bad but still we can hope. The media seem to be hyping up next week as very wintry, well for the eastern side of the UK anyway, keep the faith guys, were there are downgrades there will be upgrades!!!
