  1. I don't know where there is any or I would have done it already. People who live on the hill up to here, cleared one side with shovels, it was just like mine, but impossible to walk down. Unfortunately, I don't have a shovel, or the strength to do that either.
  2. If you look on sat the moisture plume from above Holland, does seem to move away soon, but I think it will be replaced by one coming up from the south, not the front it's self, but above it. That may produce the moisture for showers to refire.
  3. What's left after today's sunny skies. I can not walk down that, using next doors stairs. and that road and pavement are dangerous. Cars still driving on it though.
  4. Yep I'm not worried, even a weak high held back a front last month, it's gonna be a fun battle, but I think the cold wind out. Models will be behind until it happens, and then lost because the low is not moving east. Best thing would be the it slides, although the models seem to think it won't at the min.
  5. We had snow in stead, with out that last night would have been bracing.
  6. The low behind the one sliding under now, blows up like a balloon, due to a slight high between the two, giving it a positive tilt, SW, round. But that doesn't mean much, it still has to fight the block. The out come of that, is far to far away, to know the out come.
  7. No where in the se has amber today, do they? There's a blanket yellow and rightly so to, my road is an ice rink. Although the nice people that live on the hilly road up to here, have cleared one side of the pavement, so it's safe to walk. Life savers they are, wouldn't have been able to get down the local shop at all otherwise. Slipped on the flat of my road once. Still have snow where people haven't walked. So I don't think the sun's going to melt it all but some has gone obviously. Roads are unusable unless you know what you're doing car wise. Tires slip.
  8. Dover has done a lot better with this one. Dover had to wait till break down day last time, and even then it started as ice rain.
  9. There's a Thames streamer now, but it going WNW rather than wsw due to wind direction, so get Essex and north London. Should come back south later.
  10. We've lost our sun, for now, don't know where the cloud is coming from though, checked sat and I don't think it's from the front in France yet.
  11. There wasn't one forecast, but the winds do now seem to be ESE which is sending the band slightly north of where it was. Low in South close enough to change direction of the iso bars perhaps.
  12. Snow, well it's a convergence line. Basically what happening further north now.
  13. Watching the front in the south, I think Sussex might actually get a suprise today. It hasn't swivelled yet. Though don't get your hopes up, it might do so any time., But worth watching while it still has northerly movement.
  14. I've got bright sun shine on my ice now, wondering how much will melt before tomorrow.
  15. Nah I think it's already on the swivel, though I will keep an eye on it.
  16. Looks like the actual Thames streamer is happening now, it's that thin line of heavier snow, heading wsw, good luck.
  17. All it did here was fill foot print then drift off somewhere. But it was nice falling till I went to sleep. The trick now is keeping the ice with all this sun about, so tomorrow's snow can do the same.
  18. Looks like the uppers are also east north east now, my streamer is done, enjoy London and through. Did land here, but not in large numbers, the due point is very low. -6 that does effect amount of snow. So enjoy watching it fall, I'm not sure about landing though. Hope it gets heavy. It'll land then.
  19. I think it will too. Looks an interetesting night, for where ever the Thames streamer lines up, and here too. The showers coming into Dover seem to be getting a little stronger now.
  20. Don't worry to much about that, it a convective band, it'll act like showers, though most of the time it's holding together.
  21. Might explain the band of snow, if we keep temps like that someone posted earlier
