  1. Still snowing when I I went to sleep last night, and snowing now. Not sure if it ever stopped.
  2. Our school texted parents yesterday to say it would be closed to key worker children today. I'll make a guess it's the same tomorrow, it actually has a genuine ice risk, and teens from out of town can't get in anyway. It's built at the top of a big hill, with very steep walk up.
  3. I'm not sure they would enjoy my road, pure ice where cars have been driving, but at least it's flat. But the hilly ones to get up here, are the same.
  4. I'm more interested in the position of the low and it's front out west, Thursday low in this fax chart definitely going under. Not sure whether that's fully decided yet or not.
  5. They will don't worry, unless it's not fully cancelled, just postponed.
  6. Look at it on this, I don't think it convection, it's connected to the Darcy band again, and I think we have several eastward moving lows. Watch the animation. Weather Radar Map live - RainViewer WWW.RAINVIEWER.COM
  7. It does look that way, may be the upper cold front that's meant to be in the channel, being pushed north by whatever that is coming up from Belgium.
  8. I'm still getting lucky, but it's only light stuff. Going to get some shut eye too now, I think.
  9. There also convection happening on the Belgium coast heading for us, Infront on the low.
  10. Looks like the snow coming into Dover now is independent of Darcy, it's a different type, more flaky, less dry looking. Probably now have convective snow.
  11. It must be drifting snow, but up high, rather than after it's on the ground.
  12. Schools are closed for key worker kids here to tomorrow. Dover is probably cut off, yep seems like a big town, but capel will be a no go, the a20 gets quite treacherous in this type of weather, and you got to go through Lyndon or Whitfield to hit the A2, both will be no go areas driving wise.
  13. All of my snow has been small dandruff flakes, if you get stuck in a stream of, and now it's night fall, they should add up.
  14. I'm not sure about that, some heavy stuff coming toward Kent right now. Do they not read the radar?
  15. Thought maybe it's time for some pics. Oh and the stuff outside is next door, didn't notice till I posted, was doing a landscape of the distant hill, would be Whitfield that way.
  16. I tried, but people just told me it's going south to France. It was so obviously far more north, than we wanted.
  17. I'm taking my reading from the ground, could post much higher total, if I included the drift against my wall, I could post high. I'm at 3.8 cm on the ground.
  18. Same here, Dover hasn't gone above freezing either. I've frozen ice on the phone lines out side.
  19. Yep just done mine, still snowing though, so I'll do it again hourly perhaps?
  20. I've heavy grauple now lol not sure what that'll do to laying snow, come on convection, be fair.
  21. I saw a kink in the band which indicated a mild sector, and got told it'll squeeze out and head to France. I believed that at the time when shortly afterwards it started to transition, went to sleep, and I don't think it got past sleet, till sightly before I woke up.
