    As I and others said the other day, I think this south easterly thing isn’t good for the U.K. going cold, ECM direction might end up better - as per the GEFS. We need to big ridge like a few days back, probably not going to happen but we shall see!!

    They aren’t far off. The good thing is we are nearly within 10 days where the interest starts - if these GFS/GEFS are onto something the ECM may start seeing it.

    Mean looks better than the Op, the Op gets heights going to early which move East. Hopefully the mean is more in keeping any heights further West.

    The control and many others at day 9 look primed for cold - hopefully a better set of GEFS this run. Hopefully the 00z follow on

    A great cold run comes up in FI and you go and try put the doom and gloom on it, with something that has nothing to do with the cold charts being modelled just now!! ?? Is this your aim every time something to hunt shows up?? Anyway, this is nice !!

    Awesome, and another push of WAA about to happen next to SW Greenland - just to assist . If we were here in the reliable this would be about to be a very prolonged freeze I reckon

    Nothing brilliant but not a bad place to be, and with the last 4/5 GFS runs holding some colder possibilities I think we’ll have a few good days model watching ahead (it would be nice to see that cross polar flow northerly come back though). METO not budging on their longer range, it would be nice having a terminology change there to give a little more hope on the possibilities !! Edit , as Mike P says - FI could about to get much much better.

    Probably, and the PV is building again over northern Greenland . But let’s see, it’s a good day 8/9 day trend to watch for, beyond is up for grabs

    Push into Greenland at. t192, hopefully it’ll get some amplitude in the weakening NH PV

    Some day 12s on the GEFS, I don’t really want the HP to the east as don’t think it’s helping.
