    Yes, gone are the vintage easterlies, we always used to get in 80's and 90's, and earlier of course, convective snow, then fronts from SW, then more convective snow, when I was a kid, easterlies were so common sure now since 2000, easterlies are not as cold, as snowy, as long lasting and anywhere near as frequent, the christmas pudding completely sucks!

    No it's not but could exceed that never know, certain weather stations could be close, huge mild sector timed for the big day, where Xmas Eve and boxing day looking cooler

    I never expect a cold Dec, as Dec, tied with Jan, is the wettest, most westerly, Atlantic dominated month of the year, I would expect northerlies in April

    '16 not as bad,as it's been a lot drier, my expectations of course low in the mÕdern era, as I expect every Dec to Feb to be gales and rain, hope WH idea comes off, anticyclonic winter

    Was wondering at the time, if Nov 28th-30th would be coldest period of the season, have to rely on short lived inversions for cold nowadays
