  1. agree! but not with post above yours YUK! but we all have weather preferences, that's what makes a forum!
  2. Jesus SS, I look miles out! went for 5.9° pfft, I predicted a wet month with mostly southerly jet, with storms/gales and floods, kinda wrong there
  3. been keeping an eye on Thursday 22nd! looks like a shocker washout, very similar to the washout of half term Wednesday 17th Feb '16 from experience this will happen, heavy rain from 8am to 5pm approx, wellies out Midlands folks
  4. one of my favourites, and a typical winter song, should be a Xmas song in a way
  5. yes ben, love Frosty normally, especially summer! usually like the charts he posts, but not lately, he keeps mentioning cold zonal, which is probably my least favourite setup! he is only posting what models showing though, so keep it up Frosty!
  6. your song is great Snowyowl, SS good thinking, but song not my favourite, and simshady, great song, was huge on the 'new' Atlantic 252 in 2000-2001
  7. Extreme again, Xmas weather is wet, with possible flooding, significant snow in Scotland, my prediction anyway, mildish in south
  8. good old days! they ruled for cold/snow, even though this is still millennium
  9. nothing cool on there, they are 850's, different if HP in charge possible inversion, but they scream mild and wet
  10. well, sometimes dosen't matter how you forecast, like I have been telling everyone I know, that this will be a snow free month, I'm that confident, so I am an extreme amateur, but maybe I have 'forecast' right I certainly tell everyone to ignore papers and believe me
  11. good events there! looked at archive for Dec 29th '01, think that missed here, now year earlier '00, got loads overnight 27th into 28th, but remember the early days of '02, very cold ice days think you mean Feb '03? very good northerly, lots of snow Feb '04
  12. GFS 12Z is the type of run we're used to this millennium, Zonal hell from Wed 21st (a very wet day) until 384, just hope flooding isn't too bad, and dry windows are as long as possible, don't want places underwater to end 2016, I remember when I was little, flooding was a 1 in 50 year event, now in 2000's, kinda expect it every Dec to Feb
  13. or the amazing rime frost of 7th Dec 2010, but still prefer snow! proper snow though, not slushy stuff, prefer rime frost over wet snow
  14. seen your post in whiners thread, will settle for that SS, but as you said not showing on models, models seem to suggest wet/windy everywhere, ruling out fog/mostly dry
  15. Just hope when the 'cold' zonality arrives there will be sunny breaks, and selfishly winds will be W or WNW so I avoid washouts from NW'lys/NNW'lys through Cheshire gap streamers whatever the direction though, flooding looks like an issue between Xmas and new year for mainly the north and west
  16. Not anything like the real nonsense talkers, Corbyn and Madden! think mine are quite realistic, tend to follow and agree with all posts by 'Shropshire' over on TWO
  17. not Surprised, Xmas eve that chart, but certainly looks like, Atlantic dominated Xmas, with snow only for Scotland, elsewhere over 300m
  18. This is whiners thread, I can mention it whenever I want thank you very much
  19. ? only if you live up a mountain 'England/Wales', lower levels Scotland and N.I, I would rather have high pressure, or what many would call on here as 'boring'
  20. TMW! at highest level, feels warm again today, 2nd warmest Dec on record?
  21. hate fahrenheit, but assume that's cold, but if it's below 0, then agree too! but our winters are wet, windy and 9°
