  1. hate fahrenheit, but assume that's cold, but if it's below 0, then agree too! but our winters are wet, windy and 9°
  2. agree, summer wasn't bad, that chart I posted though would be too hot, Summer now my favourite season, but not keen on heat and humidity, would rather 20-25° all year, never mind all summer
  3. imagine this in summer! we could be looking at record heat, but at this time of year, probably lousy temps of 5-6°
  4. IDO will be other way today though, going for ECM, but there again you could be right, if he thinks it's going to be cold, he won't post, so maybe GFS right?
  5. Phone broke? I never have that problem, but know many who have, probably because I have a Nokia 6310i!
  6. GFS and ECM still different, I'm in team GFS, but you have to feel ECM has this right, especially as experts say ECM better than GFS GFS cold dry, ECM normal Dec weather
  7. and when we get to Xmas period, the cold potential will be mid Jan
  8. Count me in, and y'all know my views! If I start ramping cold, get ready for ice age LOL!
  9. 0.2° out so far vizzy! maybe I will be close, think that will rise for a time, then if models right in FI, could well fall again
  10. can only agree, to me, 12° in Dec/Jan feels miles warmer than 12° in Summer, in Summer it would be very cold wind from N or NW, no sun likely, where as warm TM air in Dec to Feb, muggy feel
  11. What do you mean 252? that was the frequency of longwave radio station, ending Jan 2002 252 also first chart of GFS low resolution
  12. love the optimism, but as many would say to me (rightly I suppose) how come you think this? instinct maybe? what mine usually is I think actually the opposite, and the Atlantic do dominate, spells of wind and rain to last all of Dec
  13. FI on GFS not too bad, looks not too wet, 18th certainly dry, could see record breaking warmth in NE Scotland?
  14. Agree, and what could be worse is if the high is to our east, it could get very wet as systems won't get far enough east to clear the UK, could be looking at flooding issues, especially for western areas
