  1. Northern members though with elevation, though different story, If I lived there, then bring it on!
  2. but surely the blocking will be waning by the time snow becomes possible 20th ish Nov?
  3. Too early for cold/snow yet for low southern areas, not sure of date when decent snow becomes possible for south low levels, but reckon around 15th Nov, but late Nov really for deep cold gonna suck from 1st Nov (south) dismal 6° max temps, rain likely at times, dull and damp! who wants that, I would like Indian Summer
  4. I'm not, but you look like seeing snow from around 6th Nov, me, well I 'd like another 2-3 weeks of Indian summer
  5. I only know basics but agree with that, everyone I have spoken to knows our winters are not what they used to be 17+ years ago, not one person disagrees, except people on netweather that don't want to admit it
  6. fearing the worst, think we'll have to pay for this dry/settled weather, Atlantic to wake up late Nov, leading to one of wettest ever December's, who knows winter like '13-'14, homes flooded for Xmas, always seems to even out, some places maybe had one of driest 0ctobers
  7. yeah, will be good! just need 100m+ more height! eh, yours will do 252
  8. yes, 96 hrs though could be good? but feel cloudy, lucky spots with any sun (south) may see 20°? certainly not here though
  9. still hoping for nice Saturday, but time of year against us now, feel as though it will be cloudy and 16°, if 3 months earlier 30° plus and sunny, nice Saturdays though rare in Summer 4 weeks from now though I will start looking for cold on models! that time again soon, but very likely the zonal train powering along by Nov 25th, with no end in sight
  10. you must get snow off PM air! hope to see as little PM air as possible living here, my least favourite airstream every month of the year
  11. much better, the Halloween rain nowhere near us, decent dry day on this run
  12. have a feeling we will have to pay for this settled weather, no sign of raging westerlies yet, so maybe stormiest/wettest Dec on record coming up? no doubt a wet hallowe'en though, with it falling on a monday
  13. Summer? just time of year against us now, think summer has gone and no more 20° temps even in the south
  14. I'm sure you will, the NW'lys give a dumping to the Peaks area, while just sleet at best here, normally pure rain
  15. 12Z brings warm 31st back, to-ing and fro-ing, 6Z chilly, 00Z like Spring, 12Z like Spring
  16. don't love it, I just believe in it, suppose a bit like Ian Brown, I'm sure it will be back in Dec, if not earlier, no-one loves snow more than me on this forum, I'm just frustrated with the change, everyone I speak to agree with me that we get less snow than we did in 90's and earlier
  17. Nov cold dosen't interest me, snow is virtually impossible in my location, until 2nd half, I'd rather have an Indian summer, peak district members though could well see snow early Nov
  18. sigh, looks like my location in for a soaking on Monday, always Mondays that are wet, been happening a lot, then rest of week dry
  19. I know one thing, this thread the quietest in the regional ones
  20. Right, start of the 4 Atlantic domination months, 4 above average months, 8.7C
