    seems like its buxton in derbyshire, even in the dreadful even larger teapot era they are guaranteed significant snow off a cold spell, they had loads on 18th nov 07

    my favourite bit was 8-9 feb 07 the frontal snow a heck of a lot for the even larger teapot lasting 2 days, April was fantastic a lot of sun, the summer was crap wimbledon washouts, and then those 2 unbelievably horrid days 20-21st July, november was decentish at times the odd cold day and snow on the 18th

    hope simon is right that seems like a decent january, im a fan of simon keeling he is often right on tv weather at 7pm, but he may not be if it points to cold

    for me id say around 12.5oC sometime in january, will get loads of double figure days, but nothing that high, last winter i had 24 double figure days, expecting more this season, as for coldest probably -3.5C which i saw on 24th nov, for me, as for UK probably 15oC in january in the east of england off SW winds

    ive seen a half decent november snow sunday night and a few frosts, the rest of winter will be mild but bound to see occasional frost or snow maybe the odd 2 day cold spell in december february and march, January will be bartletty and zonal, january has not been good for me in the last 3 years no snow and virtually no frost

    i really cant see a white Xmas most likely be warm and windy, weve not really had an autumn, so the SW gales all through december and january i only think there is a chance of a cold spell when mentioned on bbc tv weather at half 6 then i look forward to it, otherwise its much too far away and, id say fi is 4 days and more away

    always look every monday but they always go for mild and unsettled, the default pattern although last winter it was right, i always think bbc weather overdo the temps, (there was no way it was going to be 8oC today, it only reached 4.2oC), the netweather forum i find more accurate discussing models, and wetterzentrale charts
