  1. Heavy Graupel shower here, but sun out now so the covering is melting away quite quickly
  2. Very very light dusting here in Coulsdon. Might cause an inconvenience if you are an ant but at least I can say that it has snowed.
  3. Temp here in Coulsdon on North downs is 4c dpd -2.1c . Dark clouds filling in as well
  4. Sleet has for now turned to snow. Bit to wet to settle here at the moment though.
  5. Considering the BBC forecast yesterday which said just rain in the south surprised to see snow flakes this morning.
  6. ENE tend to produce Thames streamers that have, in the past, given some decent coverings here over the North Downs, however true Easterlies off a cold continent have tended to create some penetrating frosts that develop nice cold pools that can be stubborn to move. The updated aperge @114 gives us a bit of both.
  7. Some amazing fork lightening flying around tonight. Almost every direction you look. ☺☈☈☈☈☇
  8. Rain the sleet then brief snow shower and back to sleet here in Coulsdon. Temp is falling back now 3.2c
  9. Quite a bit of flash flooding in south London, with many roads impassable. the link below shows the notorious underpass in Wallington that will flood in exceptional rain. http://twitter.com/LondonFire/status/740180840488030208/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw
  10. I'm told there is some flash flooding in Coulsdon with my weather station taking less than a minute from the rain starting to it reporting that it is "raining cats and dogs" . might have to go and get a reinforced brolly!
  11. Just a few light snow flurries around Coulsdon and Merstham this morning (7:30). Nice to see some snowflakes this winter.
  12. Looking at the French radar there does appear to be a band of precipitation extending to the outskirts of Paris and pivoting around the Brest peninsular that should make it's way across the channel into southern counties. If the LP doesn't move to far then looks like it could extend across Sussex into eastern kent and then up.
  13. Been fairly light flakes for about 90 mins here in Coulsdon, Surrey (on the north downs) but has pepped up a bit now. about 1.5cms at present but temp constant all morning at -2.3c
  14. snowing hard down in Cousldon at present i'm told, but being v near North Downs helps due to the elevation
