    Well the sun and the temperature are in the way down now. The only thing still riding is the air pressure which has broken through the 1050 barrier to currently stand at 1050.4 thats what you call high pressure.

    A lovely frosty morning and a nice crunch underfoot (rather than the normal muddy squelch) when our walking the dog this morning. It got down to -2.9c last night and now under the blue skies the pressure is up to 1049.2 which is the highest it’s ever been since I got my weather station back in 2006. I hope everyone gets to enjoy the afternoon sunshine

    Happy New Year everyone. It doesn’t look very seasonable at present so a little sunshine to brighten the day wouldn’t go amiss. I hope 2020 provides everyone with the weather they love to talk about. ?️ .

    first taste of autumn this morning. nice and frosty on the grass but clear skies at sunrise and a low of -1.7c

    Really blowing out there. Ow and the rain is lashing down almost horizontally. Just saw someone go by failing miserably to try and keep an umbrella up. 34mm so far today.

    Definately a day of showers both here in Coulsdon and also up in town. Currently we have had 24.6mm today.

    I've a feeling that although we didn't break the hottest day time temperature yesterday, it might have been the warmest night time one.

    I m in Roehampton and its 22:30 and 29.7c . Is this the uk. Classic fork lightening at 6pm and rain and it evaporated in 35 mins .

    Just popped outside in city of London. Blue sky and it's roasting, you can feel the heat off the pavement and the tarmac is getting a bit squidgy. Temp on one building shows 36.7c

    Well today could be a record breaking day temperature wise and I've a feeling that a new record will be set. Left for work at 6:45 and temperature already 26.2c here in Coulsdon and a warm wind with that as well. Hope everyone gets to enjoy the day, after all this is the UK so we know these extremes will not be around for too long, and by Saturday it will seem like a long time ago it happened.

    Quite unusual to say it’s 8:30 in the evening and the temp is still 29.7c

    Met office currently predicting 35c for Kenley )Surrey) ,which is the closest station ( it’s about 2 miles from me), on Thursday. In the 23 years I’ve lived in the area I’ve never seen anything above 32c forecast, so it must be exceptional. I think the cricket match I’m playing in after work is going to be a warm one. I’ll leave the jumper at home

    I an sure this will be a toasty day today. 10am and it's currently 26.2c in coulsdon.

    We had 51m yesterday in coulsdon yesterday, which is about a mile from Kenley. It's the first day for a long time that I can remember it raining continously for the majority of the day ( it started at 03:10 yesterday morning and stopped this morning at 04:18) . Down at arundel today and is warm in the sunshine.

    Beautiful winters morning. A hard frost and still quite a bit of snow in the fields. Great walking for the dog to. He loves the snow and ice and best bit with the ground frozen is he doesn't get very muddy ☺

    Well looking at the radar the snow area appears to be centred right over croydon for the last 2 hours. 24hrs ago this was the area where everything was clear. What a difference a day makes.

    Heavy snow in coulsdon for over an hour. Covering on cars and the grass that was exposed from today's melt is covered again. Road is still wet but starting to stick on pavements. Temp 1c dp 0c

    1.8c and 1c dp at present but no precipitation. Just a slow thaw.
