good morning.mods please feel free to delete this post but as a novice here I really do enjoy reading the post by all members of net weather and I do learn something new every day about models etc.however the constant daily digs by certain members towards each other is firstly confusing for us less knowledge here and quite frankly its getting boring. We all have different weather preference and people don't post these days without a chart to support their view so why all the digs?anyway sorry for taking up space in the thread and keep up the good work every1!

Well the next frame would hopefully see everything move South as the Greenie high sets in, but really this is like discussing what tactics Norwich will use when they get to the Champions League final.
11 men behind the ball and hope the other team doesn't turn up!!!

with the 12z ecm in an hour, this place could go into meltdown! good to see a lot more positive vibes here today. the point scoring and personal remarks really did sour the mood here for a while

Hmm if local Councils are peddling that tripe then there is not much hope for us
My thoughts exactly. I do not see why they need to issue such rubbish, i guess it's just something they do in the very very small chance we do have a extremely snowy winter or they had been reading the daily mail/express and jumped on the bandwagon!

My partner had a weather warning sent to her work from Caerphilly County Council last week warning them that 100 days of winter was coming, they should be prepared to take action and be ready for enforced closures as the snow could be awful this winter.........................now that's what I call covering yourself in advance!!!!!

All this talk of snow is very nice but I think that a little bit of patience is needed.its the 7th of October and as much as most of us (including myself) would love to see a bit of the white stuff, the models flip and change so quickly as we have seen this week alone that maybe the weather turning more "average" for a few weeks would be a good place to start

therers another regular poster on here John who also lived in Penpadirheol - actually in the same street I live in - but now lives up the road in Glifach. Nice to know theres a few of us "locals" who can relate to the local conditions we all experience and report.
What used to amaze me is that we could be having snow and ystrad mynach would be having rain...........weather is an interesting topic!

3 out of the last 4 winters have been pretty good. This year we've had a great winter, decent spring, fantastic summer - seems like we've got our seasons back to me at long last.
I'm backing a mild Winter to the middle of December a cold snap over the Christmas period followed by prolonged periods of cold in the New Year. Based on nothing more than the fact we've had some of the best winters for what seems like decades to me in the last few years and Andy's confidence in snow mobiles as a business pr
I used to live in penpedairheol and if it snowed, we all go on the green on St Davids close and jump our sledges off the manhole drain thats there. good times. may even take my kids there this winter if we have another good winter

anyone,s guess right now way to early to call what sort of winter we will have as far as I see it.
I know that, we cant even call whats going to happen in 2 weeks let alone in a few months time . i'm just trying to get a little conversation going with peoples hopes and expectations for this winter......its been way to quiet in here of late
-
does anybody else think that with the mild weather expected to continue for a few more weeks, that winter this year is just going to hit us in the face this year or could we be in for a mild winter?
-
I remember the 16th+ 17th of jan this year when we couldn't type in this forum quick enough with the impending snow that was forecast. I cannot believe how quickly we will soon be back to those short winter days and long winter nights. here's hoping for another cracking winter again!
