  1. Unfortunately next week is looking predominantly cool and unsettled at this early stage with a trough slap bang over the UK drawing down cooler than average 850hpa air.

    A week is a long time in weather terms though and a lot can change over the coming days. Also, even under the influence of trough activity you can find some pleasent, sunny days if you manage to avoid the inevitable shower activity associated with the trough. Do be prepared for some rain though as that is currently looking rather likely. A heat wave is looking rather unlikely.

  2. You'd best listen to the Met Office rather than what they say in there to be honest, much less bias.

    There's a potential snow event for us on Sunday but next week doesn't look promising to me with a milder pattern looking likely.

    ok.Thanks for that. Its my birthday monday and like the big kid in all of us i was hoping for snow just because my girlfriend had a load of snow on her bday last month! 1 day i will grow up but until then .......

  3. i take it every1 has enjoyed the last week then?im really pleased that every1 has had some snow..................hopefully this wont be the last we see this winter.fingers crossed. also i want to thank members for their help in understanding models as this is only my first few months of serious weather watching. Keep up the good work every1!
