Looking quiet on the radar for here for a while. The met office forecast is up and down like a yo yo. One minute showing heavy snow over night, then just light sleet.

Met office backtracked again..,., should I be ignoring the automated forecasts?

What's the chances of downgrades at this stage. Or do they have more of an idea by now?

The temperatures don't seem to be dropping as low as maybe initially forecast on some sites. So will have to wait and see.

The amount of snow forecast and duration seems to be getting more diluted the closer we get... is that just because it's hard to forecast precipitation amounts?

I think it'll just depend on whether or not the cold makes it this far west.

Just a quick question. I take it the fantastic charts they are banging on about in the model thread won't bring cold as far west as me?

According to the BBC lunchtime weather looks like sleet at best for the northwest this evening. Unless you live up a mountain.

Showers not constant enough to amount to anything. Mind you they did say it would only be showers. I guess any accumulations will be confined to high ground.

Yeah snowing.... small flakes and not settling but it's still SNOW!
