    Yep rain fierce today. If I can't have snow I'd rather days like Monday. Cool and sunny! re snow I think that'll be reserved for the east if anywhere. But I'll live in hope like everyone else...

    Yes I thought it was too good to be true when I saw last nights forecast for next week. One of the forecasts said 9cm snow here for Wed!! That would've been nice.

    Big flash and thunder here too. Everywhere white now but it's more hail than snow. Not complaining though!

    Lightest of dustings here. Only very light snow forecast for me for rest of the day so won't be getting the sledge out!

    I see met office snow warning now covers whole of NI but I'm not holding my breath as they've called it wrong and I've been disappointed too many times.

    Looking on the model output thread it's funny. Looking so far into the future and it keeps getting put back, by the time the "predicted" cold spell arrives it'll just be in time for summer. Yippee another cold wet summer!

    I remember a few years ago snow forecast everywhere but never quite got cold enough around Derry and everyone else got a pasting!

    It's raining in Derry! That's why I said it looks hit and miss especially as only showers.

    I think the only place getting proper cold is across the water. 4/5 degrees here and getting warmer from weekend with chances of snow all but disappeared!

    Have been reading and watching in the background. Felt the excitement grow and disappear with everyone else. Looks like cool and rainy followed by brief cold and dry then back to Cool and wet. Usual winter really you'd think we'd be used to it but can always remain hopeful.!

    Radar showing sleet but still snowing here though very wet snow.

    I see the weather warning appeared for NI now. Going from past warnings I guess it's definitely not going to snow here now!!

    I wouldn't mind so much if at least it was dry and settled, but it's been raining and dull here most of the morning. I'm not impressed!

    I had been asking the same question re precipitation. The blob near Scotland doesn't appear to be moving south much.

    I'm being dim now but I can see a big lump of precip crossing southern Ireland a very small area to our west and a big lump North west of Scotland. Which one was supposed to bring us snow?

    From what I've seen main precip will hit further south and west so northwest not even in on the snow now.
