As i'm on nights this week i'm able to enjoy the sunshine, just got back from a good ride up to the edge of the Woodhead in glorious sunshine wearing 3/4 MTB shorts and a t-shirt,
I packed my riding jacket and trousers in the backpack just in case but didn't need them. Its been the first proper ride for months now, the few occasions i've managed to get out over
winter have been hard going getting bogged down in wet and rough ground which is not that enjoyable for me, or the bike. Its good to be back on dry solid ground flying down tracks
and over ground that was a no go up until now, and it only took me 5 mins to clean the bike down when i got home, bliss.
Roll on summer now, its been quite a good winter for us coldies when you look at the stats but its left me feeling a little disappointed, like it didn't live up to expectations but i've enjoyed
it and the frequent snow events we've had.
Today i noticed life returning with the sun, spring flowers coming through, tree's budding and insects returning to annoy us, a late cold snap will come now and put a dampener on it.
