    Yes 2023 despite it amazing spring/June is chasing down both 2008 and 2012 as the worst Summer in modern times and other than 2008 and 2012 i am struggling to find a worse Summer than 2023 since the 80's.

    August 2013 was dry but mostly cloudy here in the Pennines,2016 was average ,nothing to get excited about,2019 had a hot bank holiday but it was a wet month here.

    The only thing different about xmas is the daylight as the weather will be the same!

    Unfortunately i cannot share your optimism,August has the unenviable month that consistantly delivers poor after poor month year in year out.There has only been one very good August since 2003.
