Some snow in the wind around half an hour ago, was starting to settle but stopped, windy, cold and not at all pleasant!! Fire lit though so not all bad!!
-
A dusting here on the cars buildings etc this morning but the ground less so.

Hit -6.5C at 12 during the night, sleety snow/ice falling quite heavily here now, current temp 1.2C, very small grains/flakes.

Only a pathetic -10.5C here on the outskirts of Cirencester, was running late so it may have dipped more than that but blooming cold walking the dogs!

I see the snowfall in the SE and London is all over the news, even on this site! Which is great, but there’s still 6 inches of frozen snow in my garden - not really heard my area mentioned on the news at all!
Best to stay under the radar to be honest or you'll have reporters galore on your doorstep!! And besides we all know anything outside of the M25 doesn't matter!!! lol

Very heavy pulses of rain here last couple of minutes, looking at the rain radar, just built out of nothing!

Is cloud not going to inhibit storm potential today? Very cloudy here at the moment!
Cloud broken up here, Cu in evidence and temp rising
-
Maxed out at 34.8C here today and overnight minimum of 17.6C last night.
clouded over now with a decent breeze hoping for some rain/flashes and bangs

pretty much everywhere along the south coast has had at least a storm or two this summer....especially the CS area around Isle Of Wight and towards London....
Here in Glos, we’ve not had a decent storm for neigh on three years plus maybe longer!!
-
Maxed out at 33.8C today, bit of a breeze that made it more bearable.
-
Just a lowly 33C here in Glos, haze about so guess that's limiting things, nice breeze picked up mind
-
Well signs of convection to my South, some very large Cu, can only really see the tops in the haze, gentle breeze here and slightly warm

I’m not quite sure I would agree with you on this, maybe locally but here in Lincolnshire and Also east anglia we have not seen any appreciable rain in many weeks. The fields in our area have been using irrigation rigs for some weeks now. In fact the current rainfall averages recently from the metoffice bare this out. Recently breezes are whipping up the dust off the surrounding land and the trees are having die back of the leaves.

Yes am over in Glos, we had 9mm last Sat and quite a few rain events. I see a lot have started combining over the East side, winter Barley, none have started over here, reckon a week or two yet. It always amazes me how different the weather is in such a relatively short distance, guess topography and a maritime climate lead to this

There is alot of stuff people stuff aren't mentioning in terms of the dangers this could bring. With how dry it's been and the low humidity I fear wildfires would be a big risk, possibly widespread. In addition good luck getting fresh food when all the chillers in supermarkets break down.
Countryside isn't quite dry enough for that yet, crops still green, Winter Barley is being combined in places but it's not at tinder box stage by a long way. If this carries on until mid Aug then yes.
