31.5c here, thankfully a breeze has picked up so it is almost bearable!!
-
Just 31.5c here, still blue sky although haze caps and some short lived Cu have started to appear in the last quarter of an hour, cirrus band to the North of us.

Blue sky and bright sunshine all morning here, temp just hit 30c, no sign of any convection at all.
-
Hit 30.4c earlier this afternoon, currently 29.4c here, no breeze and horrible.
-
Plenty of convection here/Cu been building, slight breeze. Be interesting to see if anything happens later.

Morning All,
so another roaster today it seems? Yesterday I am curious to know what temps it got up to. Was at larkhill in the middle of the point to point course and my it was hot, even with open land on a hill and a breeze. The car thermometer said 30 but I know you should add caution to these as they aren't always right - maybe it was 28? It certainly though felt hotter than 28. Any thoughts? Or any useful readings nearby.
Oh and one more thing, really chuffed with my sunscreen. Out all day pretty much in it and no colour change or redness- Well protected apart from one tiny bit around the top strap. So highly support getting that high factor 30 or more on today!!
Saw 27.9c here, suspect it'll be warmer today, already showing 24.3c here now!

T&L here, only 4 rumbles so far. Very impressive convection this afternoon.
-
Very heavy downpour passed here just a while ago, giving 13mm in a very short space of time. 19mm in the last 24hrs here.

Cameras all charged up and ready for action! Just need to find a decent spot to set up and then hope for the best.
Any decent view points around the M4 corridor area that anyone can recommend?
Marlborough Downs or on the Cotswold edge got to be in with a shout looking at the latest updated predictions.

Nothing here either, be interesting to see what crops up tomorrow
-
Can see cells popping up in the cloud gaps, very muggy, some spots of rain but little else yet, very dark indeed west of me.
-
Well, had a total of 2.2mm, which brings my monthly total to 4.2mm, the ground is parched and the crops I grow are in desperate need of rain, things are not looking great for us farmers if we dont get rain soon.
-
Been snowing here for the last hour, actual flakes and very light with the occasional heavier burst but not settling and temp currently saying 2.3C.
-
Had snow grains on and off all morning here and now seem to have more showers, comes in fits and starts, snow pellets of a reasonable size and flakes too, it's starting to settle but the intensity is fairly light. Still, good to see some snow at any rate.
-
Yes, completely bonkers in there currently, just read 3 pages of "dummy throwing" and came to the conclusion there's more to life!!
I for one will be looking forward to see what crops up this w-end and hope that you all see a flake or 2!!

A balmy -2.1C here, gorgeous morning here with a lovely hard frost.
-
Temp here currently 2.7C, came back from Birmingham earlier and just heavy rain showers with a little sleet mixed in but the temp was higher then. Looks like any showers that would be heading this way are not making it over the Welsh mountains.
Not dared to look in the MAD thread today, so the day has been relatively stress free!!

Did you get any more overnight than here? Just a couple cm here, but know you often do better out your way.
Very little last night but had a great blizzard like shower this morning at 4-30 that left a nice dusting but that's all we had.

Hope you're right! Running the animation back an hour on the V4 radar, not so optimistic... Looks like the western half of the band has shrunk.
Well, fingers crossed!!! We'll find out very shortly I suspect.

Unfortunately looks like the snow over Wales and the midlands will miss here, or just clip if it doesn't fizzle out. Shame after the unexpecteded light covering of last night. Oh well, good to see stuff popping up unexpectedly anyway. Maybe later today!
I think you mitt be surprised, seems to be going in a more N/S direction, just like the showers earlier this morning, looking at the rain radar the eastern most extent of that band is already in approx the same position as where some of the showers blew down from.
-
Hope it does too!! Woke at 4 and there was nothing, but just took the dogs out and we have snow cover!

Just looked on rain radar and is one of the big showers that has made it over Wales, looks like there maybe more to follow and that band further North looks interesting!!
-
Lashing down with snow here now in the strong wind, settled from what I can see (live in the sticks so no street lights!)

Stopped here and can now see the clear sky in the distance to my West. Fingers crossed for something later.
