Snow shield still almost fully intact here. Must have caught a flurry at some point but when you can identify individual frozen flakes you know it didn't last long -

Got down to -5c here. Real chilly one! Already stressing about the cost of the heating I'll also have some of what the Norwegians are drinking over at Yr.no. ECM I think.

That's very true. I can remember a few NE'ly setups where the same thing has happened. Suspect that big blob I posted before going to bed was the culprit

Snow line this side of the Pentlands looks to be about 200m, maybe slightly lower. Plenty of cars coming in from Balerno / Carnwath direction with plenty of snow on them. Just too exposed to the Forth on this occasion here.

That's a fair blob of precipitation heading towards Edinburgh. Somewhere inland towards Lanark maybe could do OK from that! Wet snow showers here but amounting to not very much at all.

Getting pretty heavy here now. Not sticking particularly well except on the car and some bits of hard surfaces.

Fairly heavy graupel mixed with snow at the minute leaving a wee slushy covering on all surfaces

Light snow flurry at the minute but overall a non-event as we're too exposed to the coast. 850's just weren't low enough. Further inland and only a few miles away have done better.

It's pretty minging. Not expecting anything at home later either. The uppers were never modelled to be low enough for anywhere exposed to the coast. Only November

Not only has it not disappeared on the update but that's definitely an upgrade if there can be an upgrade of a fantasy, constantly changing thing

Totally missed it but hopefully a few showers over the coming days! I picked a good day to start cycling to work again after 3 years at home! Absolutely frozen getting in tonight! Might need to rethink the shorts tomorrow

Colder air definitely digging in now. Edinburgh airport dropped 5c in an hour between 3 and 4pm to sit at 0c.

Could do with those 850's trending lower before I start to get interested in next week. Currently the form horse is a sleet-fest on the immediate coast! Had plenty of rain with even -8c 850's before

Not just me wondering that then! Been checking the charts and, for next week at least, I don't see much interesting snow-wise here. Even when the winds swing easterly for a bit the uppers don't look anywhere near low enough for the immediate East Coast. But.....I will 100% enjoy the colder weather
