  1. First XC Weather 'wowzer' for me! Will go the same way as 99.99% of them I suspect
  2. Yep. To the point I'm surprised there's no warning out. 13c too which is obscene for the time of year really!
  3. Very wet here this morning. Given the amount of surface water and roads flooded in parts of the West of Edinburgh I'm surprised there was no yellow warning in place.
  4. You know winter is approaching when Edinburgh Live publishes it's first story quoting Exacta Weather's James Madden
  5. Against my better judgement I went for a cycle up the Pentland Hills about 8pm. Muddy, wet and pretty minging but there's always more wildlife to be seen when it's damp for some reason. Saw the lot tonight. Deer, badgers, foxes, hares and owls. Made the effort of getting out worth it!
  6. Thankfully not getting the really heavy rain like other places but today was another day of drizzly pish! Awful stuff
  7. Horrific easterly pish today! Grey, damp and endless drizzle! Awful stuff!
  8. I'm in Jersey this week and the weather today has been awful. Strong winds and relentless torrential rain but it's clearing a bit now. I know it's nothing compared to what Scotland is about to get smashed with! Stay safe folks!
  9. Bit of a non-event here at the minute. Bit of heavy rain earlier but we've missed the worst of it so far. Not that windy either although it's due to pick up later
  10. Hard to fathom the lack of yellow wind warning to be honest. Garden furniture everywhere, few branches off trees, stuff blowing everywhere. Wild out!
  11. What a cracking day? Thick haar burnt off before 9am here and has been beautiful ever since! Hit 27c early afternoon. Been a cracking week but due to work I've not seen much of it. Just a shame the sun's low enough now that the back garden misses it after about 6pm!
  12. Not in the warning area either but a few hefty showers and a few cracks of thunder rumbling away now
  13. In the Tyrol region of Austria for the next 2 weeks. Place is absolutely stunning. Village we are in looks right up the valley to the Stubai Glacier so will definitely head up there at some point. The river from the glacier runs right behind the apartment and it's the most incredible colour. Weather was superb today but very warm at around 30c. Hopefully catch a good storm or 2 later this week based on the forecast. Already eyeing up the mountain bike hire and might be daft enough to try one or 2 of the runs before I head home! Kids think I'm too old
  14. Always a price to pay for weeks of decent weather but it's a kick in the nuts to have this at the start of the school holidays! Kids are doing my nut in already! Still on the plus side the grass looks better
  15. Just stepped off a train at Edinburgh Haymarket and it must have absolutely pished down recently as the water pouring into the station is unreal!
  16. Nearest station (Torduff) reporting 33mm which is probably about on the money with the warning.
  17. Thunder came to nothing more than a few flashes and rumbles earlier but it is pishing down. Much needed
  18. Definitely more your side of town but the couple of flashes so far haven't half lit up over the hills!
  19. First flash of lighting and a big rumble of thunder here. Seemed to come from SE of here, over the other side of the Pentlands. Looks about right on the storm tracker
  20. Few spots of rain about all afternoon but not even visible on the ground. Horribly humid. 19c and not seen the sun since early morning!
  21. Looks like it ended up with maybe a rumble or two from that cell earlier but heard nowt here!
