Starting to settle a bit now but looking at the radar it'll ease off again soon enough. Just on the car and the grass.

Getting heavier here now but showing zero interest in lying #wetbaws

In my defense I've had about 2mm of lying snow since Dec 10th Not wanting to settle at the minute but maybe if it gets a bit heavier!

Light snow just started here

Looking at the charts then Sunday into Monday looking like a potential rain to snow event in some areas as the front starts moving south again. Shown most clearly on GFS but also the possibility on ECF. Also mentioned in the lastest Met outlook. Have zero interest in a slushy mess but colder air and snow showers potentially following on behind for midweek

Whatever it is, rain or snow, coming in later the Met Forecast for here suggests it'll be mainly light and patchy. "Sleet and snow initially will turn to rain and spread east overnight. Likely to be quite light and drizzly at times with a lot of mist and cloud. Minimum temperature 0 °C." Sounds delightful!

Irritates me that the council seem to have some kind of pothole grading system! They came down our road this week and fixed 2 or 3 bigger potholes but left all the slightly smaller ones despite them being literally 2 feet away! Then at some point they'll have to send a team out to fix what should have been fixed when the team was out the first time! Not difficult to see money being wasted by not being proactive!

Hard to buy any of the output for the weekend and beyond after the mess this week. Been one massive but entirely predictable let down round these parts. Looking at bare hills while the islands in the Forth are snow covered compounds the disappointment Currently not buying the Met forecast of "persistent snow spreading from the west by late afternoon" for Saturday as the charts show all manner of possibilities. I have zero interest in a snow to rain event or a rain to snow event. I also doubt that any frontal snow event would deliver here anyway as they rarely do

I've made it into the new yellow warning by less than 20 meters I expect a similar pattern to last night though with any showers really struggling to make inroads inland over the Forth Last night's dusting already obliterated depsite the temp still being slightly below freezing!

Quite something looking out this morning and seeing snow down by the Forth and the Ochils with none!

The most pathetic of dustings here. All the shower activity concentrated on the Forth last night. Disappointing but was pretty obvious early doors we wouldn't be getting anything! Major models all have the front well to the south so for many of us we're looking at potential shower activity! If it goes too far south even that's not happening.

GFS 18Z has it shifted slightly north again too I think but small margins!
